    I have not played a Mario Kart game since Mario Kart 64 (also played Super Mario Kart for SNES). I was completely blown away by this game. Pretty much all the characters are unlocked at the start so you are free to play whoever you desire. The maps are stunning and complex. The only minor complaint I have is that the item balance is really off. Overall, still an amazing party game!
