Mario kart is a classic! We got this for my 6 year old son when we got his Nintendo switch. It’s fun for all of us to play and a throw back to our childhood! My son was able to quickly pick up the game and does pretty well with it. Usually these types of games can be frustrating for little ones but Nintendo knows what they are doing. Fun for all ages!

We bought this game so that the family can play together, and have fun on nights at home. I have been playing this series of games since Super Mario Kart came out on the Super Nintendo in the early 90's. For anyone who grew up with this series of game, it will not disappoint. All of the popular power-ups are here, which can make the game a bit challenging and fun. The mechanics are easy enough for young children to pick up on. My 6 and 9 year old needed little practice to start playing the game. There is enough variation of game play to keep you coming back, but classic versus racing seems to be the most popular for my family. I think many would enjoy this game, it's simple mechanics, fun battle modes, etc. It has replay value and if you have kids and want to share a fun experience I would pick it up.

I haven’t played a Mario Kart game yet that I haven’t been impressed by the graphics. Gameplay is simple n for me that’s a plus. Plus it is a switch game so perfect for travel. Not sure if there’s anything new to it from the prior entry on the Wii U but still it’s a great upgrade.

With the new Switch console out I was hoping for the next installments in many of the major Nintendo lineups, this includes the Mario Kart series. Albeit I was slightly disappointed when MK8 Deluxe was announced, after making the purchase I could not be happier. The graphics and frame rate have (seemingly) been overhauled in comparison to the Wii U version. This already alone gives Deluxe points in my book. The game offers all the same tracks and characters as the first installment PLUS all the available DLC originally released. They even include several bonus characters that did not appear at all in the Wii U version (King Boo, Dry Bones). The other major change in gameplay is the move from single hold items to dual holding of items; as well as a driver assist to help aid users in staying on track, good for beginners! The online runs smooth as butter and is easy to access, as well as the wireless switch local play. All in all it may not be the next numerical installment of Mario Kart but it's well worth the purchase in my book!

There isn't much to dislike here. The gameplay is solid, the track designs are beautiful, and the replay ability is endless. With the Switch, you can play Mario Kart with someone anywhere you are because the joycons can be used as two controllers. I visited a girl in the hospital, and brought it with me, and we played this game together. For owners of the Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a must have game.

I was a huge fan of Mario Kart 8 for Wii U. That said, I couldn't enjoy battle mode. Giant courses not designed for battles was never a good formula. Thankfully, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe swaps those courses out for 8 excellent battle arenas. In addition, there are 5 game modes to choose from, so the added variety is appreciated. The rest of the game is a very minor improvement over the original MK8 (all courses including DLC from MK8, new characters to name the most significant). My recommendation is that if you've played MK8 then Deluxe is only worthwhile if you're in it for battle mode. Otherwise the price point is just a little too high for the small increase in content.

I'm not sure if I'm just that good at Mario Kart (there's no way I am) or if this is just very easy, as there's no CPU difficulty setting and I often end up lapping other karts. It's fun with friends, though.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a port of the popular Wii U title Mario Kart 8, is one of the few first party Nintendo games available for the new Nintendo Switch console. Unlike other ports, such as Breath of the Wild and the currently un-released Pokken Tournament DX, MK8 Deluxe actually offers new features not available in the original game. Battle modes, secondary items, and a few characters are added and are actually well worth the money. Coupled with the DLC from MK8 available at start, this is definitely a good purchase. Visually, the game is stunning and very pleasant to play. It plays well in both handheld and docked modes, and plays with a good mix of ease and difficulty that can really appeal to more hardcore and casual players at the same time. If you're looking for a great co-op game or just something to sink time into, go for it. Do note though, the single Joy-con configuration is possibly the worst way to play. If you're planning on doing multi-player, invest in extra controllers or grips that make the single joy-con easier to hold.

This game beings lots of fun to familt and friends. It brings competitive fun and enjoyment for everyone. I highly recommend this game if you are looking for a way to have fun while still being competitive.

If you missed it on the Wii U because reasons, you need to play it now, especially if you're a Mario kart fan! It's got all the dlc and tracks that were in the Wii U version, but now portable and with the switch you have built in 2 player always, it's great! A must have for any switch owner!

Mario Kart is perfect for everyone! I play competitively with my friends, my nephew of 4 enjoys cruising around (thanks to auto acceleration) and its plain fun. This game includes all of the DLC from the Wii U version so it has more characters and courses. Must have if you have a Nintendo Switch.

Who cares if switch doesn't have a 4k output? This thing looks amazing! Great tracks. The ability to customise cars is really cool. Since the Wii version they 've modified the way in which you can release objects, making it easier to cover your self while using a single joycons to steer

been a fan of the mario kart series since the super nintendo days. really good graphics, great game to play with friends. With throwback levels remade for the switch, it is really fun for even first time mario kart players. Lots of characters to choose from and many vehicles to choose as well.

As someone who's had fond memories of playing with friends on Mario Kart 64, this game is fantastic. Definitely sets the bar for the Mario Kart franchise. Has an excellent array of both new and old maps from the series. It boasts a fairly large character roster and the ability to customize karts to a (somewhat limited) degree. It can definitely get difficult at the higher levels against the cpu for those of you looking for a challenge. But for kids or newcomers who may find it daunting to control, the game has handicap options that will literally steer the kart for you, preventing you from driving off the map, and auto accelerating for you. So for those parents who would like to play with their kids, its an amazing game. It does have online races, but as I usually play with a group of friends on the couch, I can't attest to how that functions. However, as far as games go on the Switch, this is a great testament to the quality and polish Nintendo is capable of.

I love Mario Kart 8!! It's a great party game, and this version is easier to play. When you fall off the course track, it doesn't take as long to get you back in the game. You could be last for the first 2 laps, and still catch up by the 3rd lap. You just never know how the race will go. :)

This game is a re-master of the Wii U version of the same game. The switch version has 1080p graphics and looks great on the TV and on the handheld screen. The game includes all the DLC from the Wii U version. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. Is great to be able to play this game on the go on the Switch.

So much fun! My youngest daughter said I needed to buy this game since I bought a switch! We love playing as a family!
