By far our favorite game! Expansion doubles the number of tracks

This is really the definitive version of Mario Kart, and my favorite of the series all the way since Double Dash back on the Gamecube. It's a slightly updated version of MK8 for Wii U but with some new characters, maps, and the amazing ability to play on the go on the Switch.

This game is meant to play in a group . I have 4 controllers and it’s the same as when we were kids with the split screen tv . Love the graphics and characters. Great classic Nintendo game that’s a must own . Hours of fun playing against each other.

Very fun looking forward to buying the DLC’s next! Brings back memories from the Wii! Now i can play on my tv or on the go!

Once you've played Zelda Breath of the Wild you need to cut loose and get some action gaming in. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is not that much different than the other incarnations, but it's great being able to play it on the Switch. Plus with the Switch, it's portable. Definitely a fun game.

I was very hesitant to get this game, as I already had the Wii U one, but my Switch needs a new game, so I went for this one. Best decision ever! Loved it! It's been doing real good for multiplayer matches and everyone loves it. Glad I can take the best Mario Kart on the go! Thanks, Nintendo!

Love it. Great game THE FREAKING ONLINE its the most fun part of the whole game,you get to race people all over the world or just japanese people either one, i like how you get 4 suggested tracks that you can pick, that makes it quicker for the race to start and is better for mariokart. i absolutely LOVE how you can say messages because its a fun way to let people know your better than them and you can lie about using tilt controls which is fun. you can play against people from your own country.now this is a nice feature to have because they are all from your country which is cool in my opinion. i really love the tournaments they are really fun and some of the names are funny and make you want to join it which is fun so yeah online is amazing,everything else is eh, 5 stars

I feel like most people know what they are getting when they are looking at this game. I’m not going to get into too much detail about the gameplay, but I’ll advertise it this way… one of my kids lost our case with about 15 games in it. This was the first game I purchased after finally giving up looking for it because of the playability for everyone. It’s worthy of a rebuy for sure.

This game is a ton of fun, not only for my kids but for my wife and I too. Brings back a lot of great memories from when I was a kid. Loves the throw backs to earlier courses.

My daughter really liked it, she said it was a very nice game and it was so much fun! She loved it because the different cars, maps, characters and racing was so fun. Good buy for the price offered by Best Buy during holidays!

The game is so much fun to play with friends and family. The game is simple enough for non-gamers and young kids but challenging enough for experienced players. The graphics are beautiful and the game is overall a great addition to your Nintendo Switch Library. Buy it!

Classic Mario fun. Fun the whole family can get behind!

One of my favorite go-to games on the switch. It has everything jam packed from the Wii U version and more! Online netplay, Faster modes, and so many characters to choose from. Definitely worthy purchase. Great job Nintendo!

What else to say other than it's Mario Kart? The deluxe edition on switch comes with all dlc released on the WiiU with a couple extras. Gameplay is fun and addictive, an absolute blast when played with friends either in person or online, or if you play solo and just want to pass the time. Only downside to this version of the game is that most of the characters are unlocked from beginning, so it feels like going through all the different cups, while there is secrets to unlock, not having regular character unlocks makes progression feel tedious. That being said, there are lots of kart unlockables that you'll grind out, so that is something, but the criteria for unlocking kart parts isn't winning races or karts but rather just grinding out coins in races. All in all, while I personally see it as a downside, it doesn't take away from the quality of the game or the enjoyment you can expect from it. It's definitely a solid buy.

Beautiful visuals, innovative and exciting tracks, there's just nothing wrong with this game at all. The auto-steer mode makes it easy for little ones to pick up and play without getting frustrated, while there are plenty of ways to make things terrifying for old hands :)

Loved MK8 on the Wii U. But I had to get it on the switch bc of the portable feature so now I can play it on the go. I love the seamless transition of mario kart from the TV to the handheld console. Since the controller packaged with the Switch allows for 2 people, it makes it even better!

this is a game that is really fun to play with friends or just by yourself if you want to get better. the game modes are fun to play and I like how u can play with more than one person, and is an overall fun game

A fantastic time all around. Whether you have friends to enjoy this game with you or not, there is plenty to do in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Everything that made the Wii U original game great is present here (as it is a boosted port) and the amount of content and gameplay is sure to have you coming back time and time again. Paired with the easy accessibility of the Switch and the simple controls, this game is a perfect fit for the casual or hardcore gamer, and potentially the most accessible and fun the Mario Kart series has ever been. My favorite feature personally has been the worldwide online races, where 12 people from all around the globe race against one another on tracks voted on by the players. Not to mention the various other modes to keep you entertained both offline and online. If you're looking for games to add to your Switch collection or picking one up for the first time, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an amazing game through and through.
