Great game!!! Grew up playing Mario kart and now I can play with the fam!!

I was debating on getting MK8D on the Switch because I already had MK8 on the Wii U. I ended up caving in and getting it on the Switch anyway and don't regret it. Thanks to the portability of the Switch, I can play with anyone, anywhere. And thanks to the auto steer and auto accelerate, my little baby cousin can play with me no problems (only he'd do a lot better if he let the auto pilot just do its thing).

So fun! Brings back memories of n64! Great graphics!

Easily one of the best of the MARIO KART series, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe brings the Nintendo Wii U title to the Nintendo Switch handheld console. Chock full of content, multiplayer split screen offline as well as online gameplay, and guest characters give this title a worthy, lasting replay value.

Mario Kart was a family favorite on the Wii, so we had to have the latest version for the Switch. I found it a little harder to control than the Wii version (chalk that up to those tiny little Switch controllers I guess), but we had a blast racing each other through the holidays.

This is the best Mario Kart game to date! Superb courses, nice characters and super smooth game play with a stable 60 fps. Also for time-trial fanatics there is enough to do with a Nintendo ghost to beat in every level and courses that let ypu master them in every detail, This is a no-brain er for every Nintendo Switch owner

Great game to play with the family or individually

I haven't played Mario Kart since the first one on the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It has improved a lot but didn't lose its original charge. Only played in handheld mode so far and it's smooth like butter. A must have for the Switch. Might be different if you already bought it for the Wii U and spent money on the dlc but for someone like me who is a first time player it is a great deal and ridiculous fun.

Really fun game for the entire family. Can add up to four players. The course's are challenging and fun.

I've played every mario cart and this one takes the cake and eats it too. Has amazing remastered courses and a numerous amounts of vehicle customizations as well as fan favorite characters.

Just a spectacular game. But note, there is no such thing as family or loyality. Be prepared to immerse yourself in hours of endless fun destroying your so called “close loved ones” as you prove your household dominance once and for all.

This game is just as fun as previous iterations on other game systems. The one thing I have noticed is the ability of my 4 year old to play and win. He struggled with the Wii version of the game, but somehow this one he "gets". Great courses with great graphics. Love the addition of other non-Mario series characters like Link.

As a fan of the SNES Mariokart, I am very happy with the latest iteration of this franchise. The courses are incredibly creative, but my favorite ones are the old ones, especially Rainbow Road from the SNES. It's been fun trying to find the best combination of chassis, tires, and glider to improve my times. The ability to play with friends in person or online makes the game infinitely fun and challenging.

Mario Kart has a great history of sitting next to buddies and racing against them. Nintendo have yet again put out a wonderfully fun game to play with your friends. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a game you need to own if you have a Nintendo Switch. If you don't have any local friends, don't worry there are online races in which you can participate in. If you own Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U should you get this game?
