Mario kart 8 deluxe isn't just a port with a few dlc attached to it. Looks great has enough if you already own Mario kart 8 on the Wii U. It's nice to look at, the controls are spot on and the best feature is it's portable now. Great title for anyone's library

Mario kart is a classic! We got this for my 6 year old son when we got his Nintendo switch. It’s fun for all of us to play and a throw back to our childhood! My son was able to quickly pick up the game and does pretty well with it. Usually these types of games can be frustrating for little ones but Nintendo knows what they are doing. Fun for all ages!

I played so much Mario Kart up (I skipped WiiU). This game brings back lots of old tracks in a brilliant remastered version while incorporating new tracks that bring back all the excitement of Mario Kart. There are lots of characters and tracks right out of the box; I have yet to unlock anything other than vehicle upgrades.

This games has been in the top selling list ever since switch release. You can't go wrong just buy it!. A similar , cheaper version may be Crash Nitro Racing but most just prefer Mario Kart just get both if you really like the genre or just stick to this one for the best experience

This game is awesome, my kids love driving games. I've surprised my kids with this game plus the console. We have this game for over a month now, and so far they enjoyed every time they play. Simple control, so it's really easy for kids to enjoy the game itself. Lots of character to choose from, also you could create your own.

If you have ever played a Mario Kart game before, this is everything you know plus more. The controls are great, visually the game looks beautiful, and there are plenty of playable characters from all of your favorite Nintendo games. I will say that two adults using joycons to play this is a bit tight, but doable.

I absolutely love this game. It brings back all of the old favorites from across their family of consoles. There is nothing short of entertainment for the whole family. You can also play online against other players.

I wasn't expecting much from the new version of MK8, but the Deluxe version is definitely superior to the original. New Battle Maps, all the DLC from the original, along with some gameplay tweaks make this the version to own. The fact that this can be played portable allows it to also replace your 3DS Mario Kart. Recommended.

This is the best Mario Kart game to date! Superb courses, nice characters and super smooth game play with a stable 60 fps. Also for time-trial fanatics there is enough to do with a Nintendo ghost to beat in every level and courses that let you master them in every detail, This is a no-brainer for every Nintendo Switch owner

This is such a fun game across all platforms. I assumed it would be just like playing on the wii, but this game has been revamped and is even more fun than the old version!! My kids hardly get alone, but they get together and have the best time playing together with this game. Game changer!

I was worried when I saw this was just going to be a remaster of MK 8 for the Wii U (which was great). It is that and so much more. It is almost like it was completely designed for the switch. I will say that the wheels for the JoyCon's are very small and hard to get used to but using them as normal controllers works great.

My son absolutely loves it. We play it every day now.

This is probably the most complete mario kart game ever. It has tons of tracks, new and old, and tons of characters to choose from. It can get a little confusing customizing your vehicle, but once you get the hang of it and know what you like in a kart, it's pretty simple. Every track is unique in layout, theme, and difficulty. It can get a little trippy going from regular, to flying, to underwater, to anti gravity but once you play through the tracks and know what to expect it makes the experience alot more enjoyable. I could never go back to just plain racing on roads. Items are typical and they're good for making races chaotic and random, but you can turn them off as well to test your racing skills. It's a blast playing with friends and very intense if you're all about the same skill level. Neck and neck races will happen often and it's alot of fun.

As with most Nintendo franchise games, the newest will be updated for graphics and performance, but balancing the core of these games with something new is what keeps customers loyal in my opinion. Mario Kart and games like it will keep me coming back so long as the games don't become copy pasta. DLC is the thing and season passes are becoming a standard practice, but add on content can only go so far. A revisit to replayability is needed to keep the cost of games down otherwise we won't buy big titles at release date and wait for sales or overall discounts. PS. Need advice on the game before buying? Is that why you are reading? Ok, here it is, if you've never played a Mario Kart before get this one. If you've played a Mario Kart before get this one. If you like toon racing games with items and additional modes like battle or capture the flag, get this one. If you like any of the Nintendo Mario franchise characters get this one. More people playing equals more fun so get your friends.

By far the funnest game I play on my new switch! Remotes can be used to steer or you can with the joystick, lots of people can play at one time, amazing graphics, lots of tracks so don’t get easily bored! 10/10 recommend!

Mario Kart 8 deluxe for the Nintendo Switch is a fantastic addition to the Switch library. The game expands from it's original counterpart, adding new characters and a new expansive battle mode. Newcomers to Mario Kart or people who missed on Mario Kart 8 will be most certainly be satisfied with this game. However, to those who already own Mario Kart 8, the game does not really add enough to rebuy the game. While the new battle mode is great it's not really worth the $60 dollar price tag and the new characters are also a good reason for the price tag either, it's real selling point is that it's now portable but if your switch is 90% home console. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe could be a skippable title

Fun games will buy again in the future to play again

My very first Nintendo game was Super Mario Kart. Mario Kart is still my go-to game for multi-player fun on Nintendo consoles. This one is very familiar since it is very much like the Wii U game but now I can take it anywhere. The new feature to keep racers on the track automatically is great for young players.
