If you played it on the Wii U, this is the same version with DLC and a little boost to the visuals. It's still impressive and fun, and your whole family can play it for hours. There is a lot of content packed into the highly polished game, and the core gameplay is still fantastic. The versus mode is still not great, but the entire package is definitely worth the price.

Purchased for daughter for christmast by request from her, she loves it and loves being able to hook it up to the larger tv and play it there

I've always enjoyed Mario Kart and the Switch version has not changed that. I really like the new tracks and new additions to the game.

For me, as I know it is true for a lot of us, we spent hours playing the original Mario Kart on Super NES & then later even more hours spent Of Mario Kart 64. What is so great about this latest installment is that it pays homage to the Mario Kart roots and still has enough new features to standalone as the best so far. Features like being able to hold onto two items instead of one, or the amount of upgrades and vehicle adaptations, new battle modes, and the beautiful, more colorful level designs. Don't miss out on this game.

Easy to find people playing multiplayer Game is tons of fun.

This game is a ton of fun. Plenty of courses, characters, vehicles and game modes to choose from. The online mode is good too. A MUST OWN.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has to be the best Mario Kart ever made. This is coming from a guy who's first game ever was MK 64. I loved that game and still love it to this day. I've played every console MK, and several handheld versions, and I feel this game not only the best racing experience of them all, it's also the best celebration of all the past glories of the entire series all in one package. If you have a Switch and you don't have this game, you are missing a vital piece of the whole experience your Switch has to offer.

Fun Game. I used to play Mario Kart DS a lot as a kid so this game is a total upgrade definitely recommend.

Brings me back to my youth yet it's also new and exciting with new tracks and characters

Mario Kart has always been a childhood favorite and so playing again brings back memories. Highly recommend!!

I owned Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU but am glad I made the decision to purchase the Deluxe version on the Nintendo Switch. The game was already among the best Mario Kart titles, with smooth graphics and controls, fun new courses, and a tasteful selection of classics. The addition of a full-featured Battle Mode makes multiplayer that much more fun, especially the return of my favorite mode, Shine Thief. The game also features all of the DLC tracks from the WiiU version, many of which were among the best courses in the entire series.

Speed is not everything. Picking up weapons and racing all in one. Cute characters and lots of colors. Fun and competitive

It's Mario Kart, baby! You love it or you don't. It's got plenty of fun out of the box, with additional DLC to expand it. Graphics and controls are on point.

This is the best version of the best Mario Kart game. It looks great, plays great, and is tons of fun to play with friends or by yourself.

I like the variety of gameplay options, tracks, single/multiplayer etc. Controls are easy to use, even in the "single joycon" multiplayer configuration, though I'd recommend getting some joycon holders to make the grip more comfortable to hold, especially for adults - those things are tiny. Haven't played with the steering wheel controllers, but it's fun to play with the regular controller too. Kids enjoy it, we can play as a family.

Having a console Mario Kart game on the go has been a dream of many Nintendo fans. With the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that's finally a reality. This game was my favorite Mario Kart when it initially released on the Wii U and having a Deluxe version for Switch is truly incredible. Additions of new characters, karts, and a completely revamped battle mode make this game truly worth the purchase, even if you already bought it for the Wii U. The updated graphics look amazing and make this game even prettier than it was before.

Just like the Wii U version, but better in all ways. Just the fact that you can take it on the go, makes it amazing.
