Had this for the Wii U and bought for the switch. Very fun, but the exact same as the Wii U version.

Great game, always fun by myself or racing vs others. I intend to get the track pack as it seems like a great value for the number of tracks you get. Turn off the cheating auto-steering, though. It's more fun and challenging.

Its mario cart. Freakin awesome as usual! Cool tracks.

This game is a must have for anyone who enjoys racing, family friendly and small learning curve to get started. Works well with steering wheels and third party game contollers.

Its basically exactly like the WiiU version except looks nicer and includes the characters and tracks that you had to buy for the WiiU version. I think the price is a little steep especially considering its almost exactly the same as the WiiU version, but its Mario Cart so its obviously fun especially with friends.

Fun game for all ages. One of the best Mario Karts Nintendo has made. Highly recommend

So I'm one of the, like, ten people who have a Wii U and I definitely already owned this game, including the DLC. I repurchased it because nobody else I knew had a Wii U and I wanted to, you know, play with friends and stuff. The online community is already bigger on the Switch, the graphical upgrade is instantly noticeable, and the ability to use Joycons means my three year old can play comfortably. Even if you already have a copy for the Wii U, just take the plunge.

This is definitely an amazing multiplayer game. Easy to play, to set-up, and accommodates any style player.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is visually stunning and incredibly fun addition to family game night. It has a great track selection, extensive character list, and fun gameplay. Hours of entertaining multiplayer gaming!

Last mario kart I played was on the nintendo 64. Lots of tracks, easy to play.

I originally purchased this because my son was interested in the Switch thinking of all of the first games to play, I figured he would enjoy it. I, on the other hand, had minimal Nintendo Hi-Def graphics expectations....I was WRONG!!!! This game, as well as many others on this new Nintendo Switch platform, perform seamlessly, and look awesome!!! This is definitely not like any other of the Nintendo platforms...Well worth the purchase, along with I'm sure many more to follow!

Mario Cart is an all time classic and keeps getting better

The perfect first game for new Switch owners as single or multi-player allows for flexibility. Gameplay follows the nostalgic structure of the original Mario Kart. The endless combinations of characters & vehicles create a more innovative experience. The AI has definitely become more challenging as you progress into the higher speeds but can make the races feel redundant as patterns of attack develop.

I suppose that if you’ve played one Mario kart, then you’ve just as well played them all. Not entirely the case here with this game. Yes: it’s a re-release from the Wii U version, yeah: it’s another Mario kart game and yes: it reminded me of the 3ds game from years and years ago. But this one is just fun. It’s not a bad game and it’s a breath of fresh air for anyone that just wants a fun race and nothing cynical or ‘too’ deep or whatever. It’s fun, it has call backs to other entries from the series and it’s very pretty. Add it to your collection if you’re into that sort of thing

Takes a little getting use ton the small controllers but awesome once you get the hang of it.

Classic Mariokart with upgrades, new courses, characters, and vehicles. I only wish there were more courses and characters to unlock. They make it easier on you too than in 64 - you can’t fall off from the course anymore (think Rainbow Road).

Purchased the game for the Switch as a gift for my little ones. This version has added characters, additional worlds/tracks, and more modifications than previous versions. Mario type games are always kid friendly so no worries there. I’ve found that Nintendo is adding additional digital content available as an expansion pack on the eShop. I love this option. It extends the overall life of the game for my little ones. Overall, this was a great purchase.

You cannot go wrong having Mario Kart in your Nintendo collection. Hands down fun for the family and friends.
