ok so those that played mario kart on wii u this will be just like you left off. but better graphics, and portable mode really add some nice value. Joycons can be a bit small but play well. I nintendo switch is going to be a hit, once it catches it stride and more people get there hands on one. my kids played this in 4 player/portable mode, while small screen it is doable and makes the car ride somewhere a lil more fun!

Like every Mario Kart before it, this game is a joy to play with others. This has to be one of the top 3 Mario Kart games ever made. If you already own it for the Wii U and have the DLC then do not spend your money on it again. But for anyone who does not have it already or retired their Wii U, definitely pick it up and you are certain to have a good time when having guests over or playing the 200cc mode.

The refresh we needed and one of the main reasons we bought a Switch. The new features, items, vehicles, and characters keep this one fun. There is lots to be challenged by as you learn the new mechanics and tracks. This game will take much more time to "beat" than its predecessors. This game will bring many many more hours of fun.

As the review summary says, this game is pretty much a no brainer if you’re getting a Nintendo switch. Mario kart games have been popular since they first appeared on the SNES console. The games go-kart style of racing is a riot to play with friends and if you don’t have any friends, the online modes allow you to connect with other people wirelessly, meaning you can play people all over the world.

Mario Kart was a family favorite on the Wii, so we had to have the latest version for the Switch. I found it a little harder to control than the Wii version (chalk that up to those tiny little Switch controllers I guess), but we had a blast racing each other through the holidays.

This version of Mariokart is so different from what I remember on the N64, but is so fun! There are so many new things for us to try!

If you have a switch then you should own this game. I play this game with my 6 year old and we had thr beat time. It is not a complicated game to play so it is a quck setup to play. I highly recommend getting the added tracks by getting the on-line expansion pack.

This is another game that provides endless fun, just like Super Smash Bros. I doubt anything else needs to be said due to the nostalgia involved with it.

I bought this game to go with the Switch i bought my kiddos for Christmas. They love it!

A good blend of difficulty levels with a huge selection of playable characters AND kart parts, 8 continues the Mario Kart legacy very well. It can be rough to find the right fits for how you play, but when you do, it's a thrill to try and get 100% gold stars on grand prixs. Battle modes and more allow for excellent co-op. Very pretty and very fun.

While waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, my best friend and I met and roped in two strangers for some racing and battling (four players, two per Switch). We had to wait about an hour for the movie, but the time flew by so fast I almost wished we had longer to wait. It's a brilliant port, feature-packed, and perfectly engineered. Playing four-player Mario Kart, in public, with strangers, feels like the future.

We purchased a Nintendo switch for my son‘s seventh birthday and we got Mario kart eight as one of the games. The quality of picture on the switch as well as when we played it on the TV was phenomenal! We purchased the steering wheels to insert the little side Controllers and from seven years old to 37 years old we had a blast! Easy to set up and easy to play.

Having played various versions of Mario Kart since its inception, this was a 'must purchase' on the new platform. Our 8 year old is now addicted and it has become a 4-player family game on a regular basis. The replay-ability is high as there are ways to 'level up' both equipment and competition and will surely result in hundreds of hours for completionists.
