If you loved this game as a kid on the original console, you will love it on the switch!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gives the Wii U title exactly what was missing. The graphics have been beautifully boosted and the battle mode has already eaten up hours of my time. This is just what the Switch needed to keep it in the public eye until the next wave of games in June.

If you have been playing Mario Kart for as long as I have you would how much fun it is. But on the Nintendo Switch it is 10x more fun since you can play about 4 different ways. In this game you will see new and old courses that will make you feel excited and competitive.

This is MK8, but includes new battle modes, characters, double items, and more. Beautiful game on the Switch, and great couch multiplayer!

Great game but overpriced. Not going to ding it in rating due to price because that is how every game is so you can either buy it or not. Does have different levels and skills so it doesn't get boring.

My 5 year old nephew likes this. He isn't super coordinated yet, but the game has a feature to guide inexperience players back onto the race track if they mess up, so he is able to complete races until he gets more experienced.

What more is there to say about one of Nintendo’s top selling stories franchises. This is a top flight Nintendo game. In addition, the game was great for getting my 4 year old daughter into the world of Mario.

Always loved playing Mario kart so having it on the switch is amazing.

Got this as a present for my brothers 18th birthday, he’d been playing a few weeks then decided to challenge me. Only really ever playing Mario kart on Mobile, I picked it up and played no problem! (Beat him with all his practice too)

I haven’t played Mario Kart since double dash, and this one reminded me why the series is so great. Classic Mario kart with enjoyable online gameplay, my only gripe is with everything unlocked from the start kind of takes away the fun from single player mode.

Brings back nastalga every time I play this game. It's good for any age. And the fact that the switch is portable and has 2 controllers is the best system out right now. Set up and played a few quick games with a coworker during break and everyone wanted to join.

I have spent a lot of time playing Mario Kart and my overall impression is the game is a lot of fun. The graphics and frame rate are outstanding, and the gameplay is on par or above previous versions. There are a few complaints I have: Online service is awful. My friends and I regularly get disconnected during online play. This happens at an unacceptable rate. Wii U. This game isn't really new, if you have or had the Wii U version, I see no reason why you would need this as well. Battle stages. I feel like there was a missed opportunity to add more battle stages, especially from the N64 era.

In my opinion, this is a big step up from Mario Kart 7 (I played it on the 3DS). I didn't own a Wii U so I can't say how much this is different from the non-deluxe version. But still, get together with some friends, throw some shells, and just chill out with this game.

Amazing graphics and the added Ethernet port is a must have. 10 out of 10!

Played the first MARIO karts version in the past and this one is by far the best. Been playing everyday for two weeks now and keeps getting more fun especially with how fast you can advance and get new upgrades to your kart.

This game I owned on the Wii U and did not have any plans to purchase it again on the Switch. Turns out all of my Switch-owning friends bought it and we've played it together regularly ever since. This is one of those must-have games on the Switch.

Its a great game to play with friends and family. However I got it on sale and any Nintendo game thats been our for more than 2 years shouldn't be priced at $60. But thats my opinion.

MarioKart has brought out the competitiveness in our household. We played this game at the retail stores first to give it a try and always ended up standing there for about 20 minutes laughing and wrecking each others characters. We love this game.

Bought this gift for my niece as she needed it immediately and this was the least expensive copy of it that as a bonus came with a free steelbook. She loves the game and they were able to pick it up from their local stores as I ordered it for in store pick up.
