    To own Mario Kart 8 on Wii U was a mixed bag. A wonderful game tied to a less-than-ideal console, Mario Kart 8 surprised me with it's creative course design, while unfortunately letting me down with a disappointing roster of selectable drivers. The DLC added 6 months later would be called the proof Nintendo knows how to handle DLC, and now these years later on Switch, Nintendo finds itself with a game containing unlimited value.
