The game is really fun. I enjoy the characters and the gameplay with the game pad.

Love this game! Anybody can pick it up, play and have fun! Wife and I are big mario kart fans and this game is one of our favorites. Things we like : graphics and fps even on split screen, slow mo replays, kart customization, anti gravity and flying adds to the already hectic and fun gameplay. My only wish was for a better character roster and battle mode levels (from what I hear, haven't tried yet).

Mario Kart has been the best game of next generation consoles so far in my opinion. If there is one thing Nintendo knows how to do better than anyone else in the game today is create software for their IP's. 1st party software Nintendo will always dominate. This version of Mario Kart is the best I've ever played with stunning 1080P HD to go along with it. This is a MUST own for Wii U owners.

As a teen, when Mario Kart first came out, I was addicted and loved battling my family and friends. Now, here I am as the parent, and they are just as addicted as I was when I was as a kid! The graphics on the Wii-U are better than ever, the facial expressions, sounds, game play are all fantastically crafted and excellent, and it's simply a fantastic time had by all. 1000% better than its ever been!

great game, i love the new maps, hard at first but then it picks up where it left off

The game is great! The single player will not take long to get through but the real fun is the countless hours you can spend battling your friends and family in head to head racing! The tracks are fun and interesting with tons of hidden areas. Graphics and design are gorgeous. The new ability to customize your kart adds a fun new dynamic to the game as well. The is a must have for any Wii U owner!

Another great addition to the Mario Kart series. The controls are spot on, although I had issues using motion control with the game pad. Motion works far better with the Wii Motes. There are a lot of characters, but way too many Koopa Kids, not enough Diddy Kong/Dry Bones/Etc. I'd like to have more original tracks as well, but that's just because what's there is so good. Definitely recommended.

Mario Kart 8 will blow you away the first time you load it up. I'm not a graphics snob but seeing this game in full HD at 60fps is just stunning. The online features are also fantastic and the gameplay is smoother and more responsive than ever. I was a little bummed that they took away the fake item box from MK64 but everything else more than makes up for it. You should buy this game right now.

This is the most balanced Mario Kart meaning winning and losing races doesn't teeter too much on lucking out on power up items. It really rewards great racing much more than any other in the series. There is still the chaos (especially online) but racing comes before anything. Graphics and details/nuances are great. Off-screen play is great. Mii use. I'm just excited for amiibo integration.

Had fun from the moment the game went in! Has many different levels of fun an action! The online version is the best of the best, to play with all types of people around the world! You don't have to use the steering wheel you can play with the regular controllers. That's the best part of the game. I would recommend this game to everyone who has a WII-U. It's fun for all ages even us adults!

First time Mario kart is in HD and the graphics look awesome. Not bad at all for a system considered graphically weak. The replay camera proves this. The game runs smooth, fast load times and very fun to play with friends. Excellent game, with lots of items to unlock (drivers, karts, upgrades) highly recommended. Worth getting the Wii U just for this game if one doesn't have the console.

If you've fallen in love with any Mario Kart game ever, there is no reason you won't love this one as well. Beautiful courses, a good variety of new and revisited courses (with beautiful new graphics), difficulties great for beginners and pros alike, and good value DLC which I strongly recommend.

Great game for family game night! Good clean fun with classic tracks

As the title says, amazing graphics and controls. Mario Kart at it's finest!

A beautiful game all the way. The replay mode is actually quite fun to check out in local multiplayer races. Nintendo dropped the ball on the opportunity to do local 5 player matches via 4 on the television one on the gamepad, for some unforeseen reason. The game controls slightly different than the wii version, and is far more challenging when it comes to turning. The controls are geared towards using the drift mechanic which was not so necessary or helpful in the wii version. I've found it rather necessary to use the drifting on corners to navigate all the sharper turns this game provides in order to be competitive at the higher cc challenges. Overall a great game, but I've probably developed unrealistic expectations for the Mario Kart series.

This game is incredible. Tons of fun for everyone. Even my wife and non gamer friends love it. Definitely a system seller. Really pretty graphics, 32 tracks instead of the 16 I'm used to, and great variety. The only issue I have is sometimes all the twists and turns are hard to keep track of. If you are on the fence about wii U, buy it, and get this game. You won't regret it.

The latest iteration of Mario Kart is simply the best. Sixteen old tracks from various Mario Kart games over the years, plus sixteen brand new tracks. Stamp collection for mii verse. Unlockable characters and customizable vehicle sets. My only real gripe is wanting more tracks to race. Soon to have amino content this winter. This is my favorite title on the wii u so far.
