    I've always enjoyed the Mario Kart titles and this one is solid fun like the others. It does offer a few more bells and whistles. I really wanted it for my video game collection more than anything.

    This is another good Mario Kart game. Not great, but good. The new power ups really aren't impressive, and the wall-riding doesn't really bring much new excitement to the table. Online play is well done, and it's good to see Nintendo finally stepping up and making online feel like a natural part of the game that was designed to be there from the start. In the end, if you're looking for another Mario Kart game to play and enjoy the type of game you've enjoyed before, it's fine. If you're looking for any kind of innovation and an exciting new experience, maybe that will happen in MK9, but this doesn't deliver.
