What's another Mario Kart game without updated graphics, new characters, and new and updated tracks. This Mario Kart is an amazing game and definitely takes advantage of everything the Wii U has to offer. The online gaming definitely adds more of a challenge competing with people around the world!!

This is probably the easiest Mario Kart that I've played, but it's also one of the most accessible racing games for people of all ages. The new cart options and tracks look great on the WiiU, and I don't feel like I'm constantly getting nailed by the blue she'll when I'm in the lead.

Great game as always. Nothing really negative to say about it. The graphics really do look amazing. The levels are fun, although I haven't been able to find any cool short cuts like in the older games. Maybe they're there still for to me find, who knows? This game is a must buy for any Wii U owner

Mario Kart 8 may be the best game in the franchise. The HD graphics are gorgeous, the challenge is intense at 150cc, and the online play is addicting. This is a great game for Mario Kart enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Had the Wii U launched with this game, it's fortunes may have been different.

Plays like the great Mario karts of old, except now you can stop the blue shell (with the power horn). You can't hold more than one item at a time though which I liked from the old games. Character roster could have been more interesting, but awesome choice of classic tracks. Must buy for wii u!

This game brings new life to the Wii U! The graphics are absolutely stunning and the gameplay is highly addictive! It so much fun playing this game with my family and friends! I reccomend getting a Wii U, if you've not already, for this game! Highly recommended and you will not be disappointed!

This game looks great and plays great. New 200 cc mode is very fast. Online racing has been flawless and lots of fun. A couple DLC available for purchase that I haven't tried yet. If you are a fan of previous Mario Kart games or racing in general you won't be disappointed. Hours of fun

I've always loved MarioKart. This version really stays true to it's roots. But updated graphics and track changes keep it fresh and new. The items are new too. Love the drifting just like the last version. It's mainly for my kids and I've got no problem with them playing it. Fun for all ages.

The game is so much fun, and really the best part is trying to get all of the gold trophies playing in a room with all of your friends. The game gets seriously difficult at the 150cc range as the CPUs will steal first place from you over and over. All in all, a great, fun experience though!

Mario Kart 8 shows that Nintendo is finally getting comfortable with HD graphics. Small details can be pointed out in replays that are definitely missed during the fast action. My biggest gripe is that battle mode is placed on race tracks versus arenas so its not as fun as previous games.

I've always loved Mario Kart. However, I haven't owned a Mario Kart game since the N64. I finally bought a Wii U last Christmas and decided to pick this up. It is AMAZING! My sister and I haven't been able to put it down. It's so addicting and I think everyone will greatly enjoy it!

If you've played Mario Kart before, you know what to expect with this game. Same tight controls and characters from the series but with new levels and now you can put a mini-map on the gamepad. The online connection is surprisingly rock-solid. This is a must-own for Wii U owners.

Fun and addicting game, the online has been improved, local multiplayer is a blast with up to five players at the same time. You can compete with online ghosts in time trials. There's lots of rewards and the DLC is worth the value as it is 2GB of content. Can't stop playing this.

Mario Kart 8 is the best entry in the Mario Kart series yet. From graphics to gameplay, this is Mario Kart at its finest. Every stage is a blast to play. Multiplayer racing is fast, smooth, and most importantly, FUN! Play it with a group of friends and watch as the day/night flies by.

Perfect online setup, with several tournaments and easily created lobbies for friends. Graphics and music are uniformly excellent as well. Single player could use a mission mode, plus the balloon battles are pretty boring.

8 Mario Kart games in and Nintendo still manages to improves its Mario Kart games. I've played every game since the beginning, and this one is by far the best. Extremely addicting, beautiful, and fun (especially with 2+ players), this is definitely the best Wii U game out there.

I thought that Nintendo couldn't top Double-Dash but I was wrong. Mario Kart 8 sets a new standard while raising the bar again. Easy to learn yet difficult to master. Lots of fun to be had locally and online. If you own a WiiU then Mario Kart 8 should be in your collection.

Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U maintains the high quality of the series to date. The races are fast and challenging without becoming absurd; the graphics pop even more than usual; for those who want family play and who don't care for the steering wheel, extra Pro Controllers are a must.

A great representation of the legacy of Mario Kart. A very fun and deep game that will have you playing for a long time.

My 10-year old sons bought this game and have been playing it non-stop. They have played many racing games but this seems to be their favorite. Nintendo has added new twists to the game to keep it fresh (ie zero gravity racing). Fans of Mario racing games will not be disappointed.
