This is the definition of perfection in game design. It is beautifully optimized for the Wii U hardware and has a couch/ split-screen multiplayer that just can't be beat. The racing is simple to play hard to master and the map designs are interesting and fun.

If you've just bought a Wii U and are looking for something to enjoy alone or with friends, Mario Kart 8 is it. Possibly the best MK game to date with memorable tracks and finely tuned gameplay. Fans of the past DS iterations of Mario Kart should definitely apply.

This is a great game for kids and adults. It is for WiiU only. Graphics are great especially on HD TV. The race tracks are different than the original Mario cart. You can use the Wiiu game pad and the wii u pro controller. I would highly recommend this game.

This game is fantastic! It transcends age, both my 3 year old son and my 32 year old wife loves this game! The graphics are amazing, the controls are awesome! THe only problem I have is that it goes from too easy to amazingly difficult! Great game overall!!!

I haven't really played a Mario Kart since N64, but the best in my opinion was on SNES. However, after playing this one, I am pleased to say that it is by far one of the funnest games out there. I enjoy the maps, graphics are great and to me, it feels very nostalgic. I can't say enough good things about it. It can be challenging once you move into different CC classes and the maps can be a real pain, but in a good way. It is a must have for WiiU owners, especially if you are from the old Nintendo days and especially for kids. It is beyond me that the WiiU hasn't done better, I guess the game catalog is lacking, but this should bring some well deserved attention. I usually have all the systems, but this and Super Mario Bro is alone justifies have a WiiU. An excellent game all around and as an adult, it can be even more fun with the addition of some adult beverages to bring back the good ol days.

The Wii U had a troubled start, but this game is the beginning of the Wii's comeback. By far the best kart game they have made to date. The anti gravity mode is fun, changes things up, but is not over used or forced. I would highly recommend this game to anybody.

I thought the last Wii Mario Kart was the apex of Mario Karting. Boy was I wrong. Insanely beautiful, deliciously thrilling, and ceaselessly entertaining: these are the words I would use to describe this beauty of a game, and even they do not do it justice.

I've been a big Mario fan since the beginning. This game is by far the best Mario Kart ever. I was there when the Nintendo Rep was there and I ended up getting a couple of steering wheels, they are surprisingly fun and challenging. If you don't have get it.....

Very fun game to go around for the whole family the HD graphics r so Much better than previous titles. Nintendo did a really good job on the details and not to mention the music in this wonderful classic. Highly recommend picking this up to enjoy at home :-)

If you've played prior Mario Kart games, then you know what to expect. There isn't much difference in this iteration, outside of the much improved graphics, but from a gameplay perspective, theres nothing new. With that being said, it is still a lot of fun!

If you liked any of the other Mario Karts or think you may enjoy it, then definitely give this one a shot. Tons of courses, characters, and even vehicle customization. The anti-gravity gimmick looked irritating, but it's actually very unobtrusive.

Nintendo does it again! This is, without a doubt, the best Mario Kart ever. The multiplayer is a blast, and unlocking all of the tracks and characters is great fun as well! I never grow tired of racing with friends, or trying to beat my best time trials.

Mario Kart is one of the sole reasons for purchasing the Wii U. This game is so fun to play with either by yourself, with friends, or against others online. I could play this game all day.

If you like Mario Kart you will love this one! The game has everything that you love about the old games but with new graphics and some new items and options for vehicals. I love this game and it is only made better with the use of the wii U Controller.

As a Nintendo fan, and being able to follow up with each generation in the Mario World, I highly recommend Mario Kart 8, It has new upgrades, new characters, modes and race tracks! Perfect to play with friends or if you dare with Online geeks.

Another huge hit for the mario Kart series. This brings all the fun of previous titles with a few new tricks up it's sleeve. Mulitiplayer split screen is still the best, but there are many other modes to spend time mastering. I recommend for everyone!

This game is stunning! I am so happy that Nintendo finally joined the HD world. The only two problems I have with this game are: 1.) You can only have one item at a time. 2.) The roster is not really all that balanced, there are too many Koopa Kids.

This is a great family game. My young daughters love to play it and the best thing is, mom and I can play it with them! The controls are pretty easy to figure out, so even people that don't play games very often can enjoy a few laps of Mario Cart 8!

This is an easy game to have the whole family play. From youngsters to grandparents. When playing with the whole family it makes everyone excited. It's probably the only time when the kids get to gloat that they're better drivers than their parents.

This is my first real experience really getting into a Mario Kart game. It is really just a fun game to play and no mater how many races I have played I always just want to race one more time. There are constant unlock-able to keep you going.
