Dog ate the first copy... yes; literally. Made the kids suffer without it for 6 months then told them I would go 1/2 on a new copy. They still love it, so it was worth it.

Mario Kart 8 is a wonderfully done game. The graphics are amazing, the controls are tight, and the gameplay itself is as fun as ever. I would highly recommend this title to anyone.

I've been playing Mario Kart since the Super Nintendo days as a kid and I just love how fun this game is as an adult. Can't wait until all my friends gets a Wii U so we can battle.

I bought this game and took it home immediately had the entire family around the Wii U playing along. Its a lot of fun to play on your own or online vs other players as well

How can you not like Mario Kart? This game once again is crisp, fun, and exciting. This is a great multiplayer game as well. I highly recommend this to any Nintendo enthusiast!

From what I've played, the game plays splendidly, even if I still need to adjust to the changes made since Double Dash. Graphically, it's really nice-looking, and the multiple modes of transportation are pretty cool. Nintendo patching in a 200cc mode is also awesome, and well worth experiencing if the default modes are too slow. Just be ready to use those brakes!

I picked up this game out of pure nostalgia from the Nintendo 64 Mario kart. Me and my girlfriend love playing this game. Great for kids or anyone wanting to play with friends

This is the best Mario Kart game yet. The graphics are phenomenal and the action never stops. Same characters as always, but in new and novel situations. It's a muist have.

We also bought this game when we bought our WeU because Nentendo demoed it at MOA and my wife actually had fun with it and it sold heron upgrading to the WeU from the old We.

This game is so fun! The courses are cool and the graphics are awesome! The DLC for the game is worth it too. The new courses on there are even better than the originals.

The whole family loves to play this game. This purchase was actually to replace a disk that was accidentally broke. Didn't hesitate to buy the game a second time though.

Glad Wii U stuck to their guns and kept Mario and his crew.. Sometimes playing games with classic characters is refreshing.. I do own a PS4 but it's good to get away sometimes.

This game is so much fun. Once you start you will have a hard time stopping. If you like racing games that aren't realistic then you will love this game! Any fan of MK will love this game. The items, the characters and the courses are all great. The graphics and audio is superb. These guys make little facing and body expressions when they get hit or got a hit on another player, awesome! Plus there is online play! Some people complain that the battle mode is not adequate but for me and my son and nephew it is still loads of fun! This game has some serious replay value and I'm sure anyone who picks this up will not be disappointed.

Mario Kart never a disappointment. I have been playing this game over and over with friends or by myself. I've always been a fan and they didn't let me down this time.

Along comes another well made Mario Kart and there goes my free time. Game is easy to play and control for kids and adults. Amazingly this theme never gets old, just updated.

Nice range of new characters and a lot more play in kart customization, but everything is unlocked much easier. Very innovative tracks, a lot of shortcuts and alternative routes, and many areas where skill and timing can give you a big advantage. Item balance is pretty good, but I miss being able to hold an item behind your kart and still stock another item. My biggest gripe is that battle mode doesn't seem right with the closed-loop tracks rather than the mazes like previous versions of Mario Kart. You either have to camp, do a lot of U-turns, drive backwards, or just drive the course and hope you can catch up to someone.

With the 8th entry, MK8 is quite possibly the best the series has yet to offer. Amazing graphics, courses, online play, and quality dlc makes this a must-have on Wii-U.

My son was so excited when he heard this game was coming out. He received it for his birthday and hasn't had any complaints. Great addition to our Mario collection of games!

Really great game. A great time for the whole family. Easy for anyone to pick up and start playing and just have a blast.

Great visuals, tracks, online gameplay, and audio. The little mistakes (the changing of battle mode and lack of variety in characters) are overshadowed by a really fun game.
