Can stop playing this game. It is a family experience. My entire family including mom gets in on the action. Great graphics, great gameplay, great fun.

The best Mario Kart so far released, everything is improved, there is no game that provides so many hours of fun. Online is awesome and the tournaments are a great addition. I surely miss the old characters, I mean bowser kids are ok, but not at the cost of Kamek and Dry bones. Sad not seeing them in the rooster, but oh well that does not diminish the fun you can have with the game. Every Wii U owner should have this game, and if you do not own a Wii U this is a good enough reason to buy one, and you better hurry to get it with the promotion of a free download game from Club Nintendo.

Much like the Mario Kart games before it, this is another amazingly fun game. The family enjoys some spirited trash talk, as we race and throw blue shells.

You can have cute characters. Being able to nail someone that you are playing against, as you drive past them, is pretty awesome. Graphics are a real step up.

This is the most fun Mario Kart game I've ever played. There are so many options and the graphics are such an improvement over past games. Highly recommended.

This game is amazing. Nintendo definitely hit it out of the park. The visuals are incredible, the best I've seen on my Wii U. Lots of fun for all ages.

It's Mario Kart whats not to love, new tracks same classic.

By now you're familiar with how this series works, and this iteration delivers more of the same. There are old and new tracks aplenty. The old tracks have been modernized a bit - usually for the better, but a few once great tracks are merely a shadow of their former selves (I'm looking at you Toad's Turnpike). The DLC available is like getting another half of a Mario Kart game for an additional $12. Some of the track highlights from that include the original Rainbow Road and Baby Park (which isn't quite as crazy without the Double Dash mechanics, but still fun).

I have played most of the Mario Kart series dating back to Super Mario Kart on the snes, and I am very impressed at how big of a developmental leap it is from the very first game. Visuals are very nice to look at. Controls are tight and responsive. Item selection is now, some what balanced with blue shell killers. I'd say that they toned down how much items the computer uses, as it is not as bad as the Wii version. It's a very fun game if played by one self and with other people. One con I do have, and mostly everyone has complained is the missing presence of the battle arenas! Instead, you drive around full courses forcing you to find your opponents. If it wasnt for that one con, this could've been the perfect game. But overall, a very fun and entertaining game.

If you like any of the past mario kart installments you will love this one, adds just enough to be different and new but keeps to the roots very well.

I have been playing the original forever, this continues the greatness of the first versions and takes it a step further, you won't be disappointed....

We love Mario! This game is so much fun. My boys love racing against each other. They play it just about everyday and still don't get bored of it.

Another great Mario Kart game. Better than Mario Kart Wii with the exception of the battle mode. They have removed the battle arenas and now just battle on the tracks. This is a mistake in my opinion. This makes the battle mode basically the same as a race. The fun of the battle modes was having the confined area to battle in.

Whether you are looking to race online, by yourself or challenge the new anti-gravity courses with a friend, this game is a great way to spend your time.

Mario Kart 8 is one of the best games on the WiiU to date. As an added bonus, early adopters get a free download of some of the better WiiU games. The new tracks are a lot of fun to play, and the repeat tracks feel fresh (particularly Rainbow Road on the N64). The only real downer is the lack of Arena style Battle taketak tracks. Get it!

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it. We play as a family on our down time and love the graphics and added features from the older version.

I am loving this title, just as expected. No real complaints. Plenty of fun for beginners and experienced gamers alike. Also great for the whole family.

You can't go wrong with Mario Kart. It's endless fun with great maps and really good DLC. The graphics are quite a looker, it has so much detail.

It's the best in the long running series I was stuck playing it straight for an entire week, unlocking everything if you have a wiiu highly recommend.
