MarioKart in HD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MarioKart 8 takes everything that you loved from the previous games in the series and presents them with beautiful HD graphics and tight precise controls. It's fun to race by yourself, but more so when you play with friends online or with split screens. Sadly, the Wii U Gamepad was not well integrated into this game. You can use it as a screen that duplicates what's on the tv. There isn't a 5 player option. And you can't play a 2-player game where each person has there own separate screen. Even with this flaw, MarioKart 8 is a great entry in the series.

Good but could use improvements

However, battle mode is now terrible because it is set on a track rather than an enclosed space. Also there is a glitch when checking that stats on the carts and wheels.

Better than Mario Kart 7

It's a lot more playable for me and I am not very experienced with this type of video game.

Just hope they update it and change that you have to wait for the 12th place person to finish in multiplayer in order to advance. Also no cup celebration.. That's a bummer. Need better battle maps as well but overall a fun game
