This is a pretty fun game with great graphics. Some of the tracks have the same name as in MarioKart Wii, like Moo Moo Meadows and Rainbow Road, but they are upgraded tracks - more difficult but still fun. I love the new prize boxes. It still has almost every one from the last game, but now there's a horn, plant, fire plant, coin and the "8" - where you get 8 things to use against the other racers. You can control the instant replay of the highlights, with fast forward, rewind and slow motion. I think my absolute favorite thing about this game is that you get to customize your vehicle and it's fairly easy to win new custom items. So far, we love it!

Great game to play online with friends and others around the world. Love the extended character list and vehicle selection. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun family friendly game. The one thing I would change is the ability to chat with others during team races/battles.

We love playing this as a family. I love that there are different levels of speed that you can choose. Dashing across the screen of many different obstacle courses to choose from. Avoiding bananas, getting hit with mushrooms, speed boosts etc. A lot of fun if you like racing games.

Mario Kart 8 is the latest entry in Nintendo's long running kart racing series. This is definitely one of the best yet. The gameplay is great and very fun. There are enough tricks in the gameplay for veterans to master, but it is still accessible enough for newcomers to play as well. Great number of varied tracks. Given Nintendo's history with online capabilities, the online multiplayer in this game works surprisingly well. Joining a game is easy and straightforward, and the experience is lag free. If you own a Wii U, picking up Mario Kart 8 is a no brainer. If you don't own a Wii U, Mario Kart 8 might just be the game to convince you to buy one.

This is a great game to play with friends and family. Good variety of tracks, cars, and characters. Haven't unlocked everything yet and there already seems to be plenty to play with.

This game is a must own if you own a Wii U. This game is fun. It has great multiplayer support. Nintendo has made available very reasonably priced DLC that further enhances the game with new characters and new tracks. If you have a WII U do yourself a favor and buy this game.

My main issue comes with the quality difference of single player to multiplayer in its misleading claim. Nintendo listed it as 60fps for the game but this is only in single player, the moment two or more players play together from what I've seen, you all receive a max of 30fps. To most this doesn't matter but to those who expected it there to, its an issue. Overall the game is nice, though paid dlc for courses might be a turn off to some people

This is one of my favorite game series and this one didn't disappoint. All new boards and better graphics but the game play and fun stayed the same.

I've never played a Mario Kart game before, but I was looking for a great multiplayer experience for the Wii U. I picked up the game and I have no regrets. It's a fun game with lots of variety between karts and tracks. You and your friends will have a great time playing this one.

So I'm driving at crazy fast speed. I have other people behind me throwing stuff at me. First place is within reach. At this point i'm crashing everywhere, inflicting massive damage on the environment and myself. I finally reach my destination, Best Buy, and buy the game.

This game is great. Challenging levels but even my 3 and 6 year old were handling them just fine. Can't really complain about the price because of the free game download that Nintendo is giving away. Like with any of the Mario Kart games...it's a great game for the whole family!

The game is absolutely amazing. I had expected for something quite like it for a long time. I love the graphics and the fact that (AT LAST) luck does not play such a key role in the game anymore. I love the characters and I adore the possible character-cars combinations. However, I do not like it so much that some characters are absolutely equal to others. Mario is just like Luigi when it comes to weight and chosing one over the other doesn't make that big of a difference. The online mode is very easy to use (unlike what one would expect from Nintendo - due to past experiences) and is really, really fun. Two thumbs up!

Had a great time playing this game. It is a great game for the kids and not a lot of fun for adults.

Having grown up playing Mario cart my family and I where excited to try out the latest greatest version of this classic. And it did not disappoint. I love the way that you can now race with your Miis that you have created. The family get a kick out of this. Highly recommended!

My son got Kart * with his own money from his first job. i got to play it with him for a while and I was impressed by the visuals and the same racing fun that Mario Kart has always presented. Not a bog fan of simulator racing games but Kart is fun enough to keep my attention.

Love all the Mario games!! Mario Kart 8 is so much fun! The graphics are so much better than Mario Kart 9. My 2 sons play this all the time!!!

New drivers, new kart options and crazy tracks. Fun for everyone. New to the franchise or not, this is a great addition to Mario Kart. The online multi player is a hoot.

This game is such a classic and with all the improvements that's been made with he graphics etc. it's definitely a fun and addicting game. I would recommend this to anyone who's Into racing car games .
