Best looking and performing MK game. However, the battle mode is terrible. Why not make custom battle arena maps like the N64 version?

Great Mario Kart game. I can play any Mario Kart game and never be bored or sick of it. It's the best local (non-sports) multi-player game out there. Always fun, with customizeable bikes, karts, and ATVs which make picking your character strategic and short cuts galore to always explore. Online play is better than the previous Wii version, but could use a bit of improvement as most Wii U online can. The only thing I wish was that there were more hidden characters/courses that are harder to unlock and downloadable content where you can purchase characters or courses. Otherwise, well worth the money.

Amazing graphics. Lots of levels and characters. Strong online presence. At its core, it is a very good, very fun kart racer. Worth buying.

Fun game for anyone. I have always enjoyed Mario kart. This one is the best. The whole family enjoys. Minimal learning curve. Beautiful graphics and great gameplay.

Absolutely fantastic game. I played Mario Kart way back in the Super Nintendo days so it brings back some wonderful feelings of nostalgia (and even a couple of the same tracks!) so I may be bias but I know newcomers would still enjoy it just as much as I do. Great controls, fun customization, and that same challenging gameplay I remember. I like the fact the Wii U is backwards compatible with the original Wii controllers so I used those to play with friends but be warned; driving in Mario Kart 8 with the old Wii controllers is not as easy as using a traditional controller. Still fun though.

Nintendo has done it again..MarioKart has always been one of my favorite games and this one doesn't disappoint. Fun for the whole family.

Mario Kart 8 is a great game. My 8 year old has had a blast playing it over the past few weeks. I highly recommend it to any WiiU owner.

Really fun and probably the best Mario Kart yet. Nintendo needs to add a patch to update the Battle Mode and the way online racing with friends can work. Online racing with friends is still very fun, and you can also download and upload "ghosts" of time trials.

Overall this is a very fun game. Character animations, graphics, and sound are all very nice. The kart customization is fun and can seem overwhelming, but it does not take away from the jump in and drive feeling. Definitely a great game the whole family enjoys.

This is a great game. The whole family has had a great time playing it. The graphics are great and the new functions of racing are fun.

Looks great, plays like mario kart, and has multiple different controller styles depending on how you want to play. Also if you get it soon you can register with Nintendo and get a free downloadable game, one of their big games too (mario, zelda, or pikmin 3)!

The only other Mario Kart game I've played is Mario Kart 64, so I can't compare it to others... But I love the gravity-defying tracks.

My eight year year old wants me to play this game with him and, believe it or not, it keeps us both entertained! A fun game.

We like the new tracks and the graphics. Don't like that you can't hold a weapon in reserve like older MarioKart. We like that the karts can fly thru the air.

Great game! Kids love it! Would have/could have given a 5 star but didn't because it is not that different from previous version.

This is the perfect follow up to Mario Kart 7 and has better item balance than Mario Kart Wii. 60fps action is occasionally marred by a frame rate that drops to 59 occasionally causing a slight jerk of the image. Split screen play and online are great fun.

This is a game the entire family can enjoy and due to the nature of the game the family can interact with each while playing

Haven't gotten too much into the Mario Kart series so I decided to pick this one up. Its a great game and has been hours of fun.

Fun for all ages and the levels are new and exciting. I love being able to go upside down and the tree level is my favorite. It's a cool feature to add the innovated hover option on the vehicles. The super fast 200cc is out of control fun too.

The graphics are great, courses are challenging and don't get old. There are plenty of surprises and bonuses to unlock in Grand Prix mode to keep you going for a long time. The replay value is great when you include a friend or two, and online play is beautifully executed. The rating system is fair and pits you against drivers at the same skill level. Very fun, and safe for all ages.
