It is the same fun karting action expected from a Mario Kart game... but with much better visuals. To be honest there is not much new here but in my opinion the update in graphics and smooth frame rate make this the best Mario Kart yet.

Mario Kart has been a longstanding, family friendly racing game. I recommend it to anyone who has a Wii U just for the fun factor alone. For those who are looking into buying a Wii U, this game is one of the reasons you should own one.

This is a fun party game that can keep the kids and even the adults entertained. The graphics are updated from its predecessor and several new tracks and vehicles were added. The ability to play online with friends or just random people from across the world is a cool feature. This is a must have game for the Wii U.

Mario Kart 8 is an amazing looking game. It's new features like a huge roster of characters karts and tracks, along with the nostalgia of all the older nods will have you playing for hours. Grab some friends and beware the Blue Shell!

Great Game Missing Minor Features - Time clocks and track maps are missing other than that, the game is perfect.

The game looks beautiful on a big screen. Gameplay is pretty much the same as previous titles, some cool additions.

Pros - HD looks beautiful. Great job on the music. Racing seems more balanced (unlike previous MK games where last place can win at the last minute because of power ups) They now have a power up that deflects the annoying blue shell. More unlockables and not as difficult to unlock items like previous MK. 4 player GP. Option to customize your vehicle (Kart or bike, tires and glider) Now you can race with with a Wii remote with the option of turning off motion control and using D pad instead. Drifting is easier. CONS- Battle mode is ruined (You now battle on racing courses, not actual arenas) Drifting is easier but on 4 player mode its harder to see the corners ahead to prepare for a good drift, not bad though, just harder (52 inch Samsung TV) lots of characters, but who really wants to use "Pink Gold Peach" or "Metal Mario" I was hoping better use of the gamepad, you can't compete on the individual screen against another player like Sonic Racing Transformed (up to 5 players racing at once) or Call off Duty. Other then that, great game. Best Wii U Title yet. Highly recommended

My 13-year-old son likes this racing game very much. He likes the characters, the game play, and the power ups.

Lots of new courses and cool features. My kids really like the action and I always have fun playing it too.

Mario Kart 8 has some of my favorite maps from previous Mario Karts and so really fun new maps. It's a blast to play with others and the controls are simple. The graphics are great. The only major complaints are the battle maps which are the same as the racing maps and there are only 8 of them. I wish they made different maps specific to battle mode. The other complaint is the default setting for the Wii Remote is tilt sensitive and I prefer to use the digital pad to drive and there is no way of saving that setting change.

This game is always fun to play during spare time or even a family game night. I used to play it when I was a kid and its still fun now. I would defiantly recommend this if you want a game that is great for the family.

My son thought the game was great. he enjoyed playing it, and was a great addition to his Chirstmas wish list.

The game has a little bit of the 64 feel to it. New power ups, a lot of customization you can do to your ride, AI is pretty hard when race at 150, the best replay value game on the market. You race with people all over the world.

Great job on the latest installment of the Mario Kart series. Lots of new features. My only complaint is that there is only a track overview when using the tablet. Other than that the game is a lot of fun. Boards are great

Thought it would be too kid like.. surprised me that the tracks are actually well designed and the game actually takes a little strategy Game for adults as well. Especially if you want to take a break from shooters.

Very nice game. Improvement from previous Mario Kart Wii. I like many of new features. I really hate just manual mode (no automatic) and that you can not stack items (you can get and use only one, and than get another one).

Oh my goodness this game is so much fun!! I love the characters, tracks, build system for the karts, and I cant wait for the DLC!

I purchased this game for my grandchildren and they really enjoy it. The game rewards skill but doesn't discourage kids who are just learning. It has a variety of race courses, characters and customizable cars.

Im an older gamer gaming for more than 30 years. I have played every mariokart since the origional on the snes. I can say this is an excelent version added to the series with great online play and actual good dlc.
