Fun game but too expensive. I will recommend it to a friend

Another fantastic entry in the Mario kart series and the new additions make the game that much more fun. Grab a couple of friends and enjoy this fantastic game.

This is a great game. This game is the reason I purchased a Wii U. Graphics are almost as good as a XBOX One or PS4 game. I just wished there were more tracks!

Bought this for my grandson's birthday and he loves it! He would play it all day long if we let him. It's not guns and death, just racing competition.

From the new speeds to the bringing back of classic I mean real old time classic tracks this game is just what my family needed to beat a hot summer day

Well, finally here and it was almost worth the wait. With the lack of good games for the WII U it was welcome family entertainment with lots of trash talking!

This and Smash Bros were the main reasons I bought a wii u. Bringing in the best of the old and adding in the awesome new antigravity feature, Mario Kart 8 is definitely going to be a must have. Especially with all of the new Koopalings being added, not to mention the 100% HD graphics!! Now all they need to do is add in the double driver mechanic from Double Dash and I'll die a happy man.

Updated classic. If you've enjoyed Mario Kart over the years, there is little doubt in my mind that you will find this latest iteration to also be enjoyable.

This game is fun and looks great the only issue i would have is that the battle maps have been replaced by the tracks with cars going in opposite directions.

There is a lot to love about Mario Kart. There is a lot of charm, and the inclusion of a more robust online community makes this game enjoyable for all ages!

Best Mario Kart to date. Love the inclusion of old maps and remakes. The combo DLC map pack is absolutely worth it. Must buy for any Mario Kart fan!

So I recently graduated from college and started getting my first big boy paychecks. After buying all that boring, practical stuff like furniture and appliances, I finally treated myself to a Wii U pretty much for the sole reason of playing Mario Kart. It has a Mario Kart Wii feel to it, except definitely more polished. I simply love it. It's great for casual and hardcore gamers alike.

The game is awesome. It's insanely fun with 12 player online. If you buy it and register before July 31 you can get a free download game from Club Nintendo.

I love this series and this game is darn near perfect. Really the only complaint I have is that the shells have surpassed the other items as the best ones.

The Mario Kart series has been running since the Super Nintendo days, and for good reason, like the saying goes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it." And with MK8 that is no exception. The same fast paced kart mayhem along with items to use on your competitors to give yourself an edge is just as fun. Except this time there are a few new additions, such as the gliders to speed across the map, to hover wheels adding more variety to looping tracks and the like. They've also brought back coins, which give you a small boost when collected in a race and add up to help you unlock more vehicle customizables for future races and added depth to game play and strategy. Overall fun game with a lot of replayability especially if you've got friends or family to play with.

If you have a Wii U you need to own this game. It is a staple of the Nintendo universe. It handles 4 players really well, and is fairly balanced. We like the unlocking process, and mods to the cars. If you are new to the game you need to go online and figure out the mechanics. Fortunately for my family, we already knew how to drift, etc.
