Would like to keep one item like the old Mario cart.

Great game with a huge roster of characters and dozens of courses. Four player split screen and you can use pretty much any nintendo controller.

My son is 6 and loves this game! It has different options which is great depending on how many people he has talked into playing with him.

I've always been a fan of these series and this one by far blows all of the rest of them out of the water. Get this game if you love Mario Kart.

This is a great game for all. I love to play it like I was back in high school playing Kart 64. Fun to play with everyone, tough to play online.

This game is perfect for my kids. The game allows each of them to complete each race regardless if all other racers have completed the race.

I've always loved the mario kart games. MK8 is great. The graphics, hd is good. Drifting is fun. The only complaint I have about it, is it's fairly easy to "beat the game" it didn't take long on the 50cc class. I wish they had more levels to offer people who finish quick. Other than that, it's a great game, with lots of new features and customizable vehicles.

I have a ton of fun playing this with my friends when they come over. trying to get better at it but not the type of game I normally play.

This game is hands down one of the best games of 2014. To start off with the graphics for this game are awesome. You also get to enjoy new maps, new items, and some of the driving features that were introduced in Mario Kart 7 for 3DS as well as some additional. This game was the whole reason I bought a Wii U and am glad I did, I highly recommend Mario Kart 8

As usual, Nintendo knocked it out of the park with the new Mario Kart 8. It's a ton of fun and I totally LOVE the expressions of the racers!

Nintendo produces titles that tend to never disappoint, and this game is no different. Great fun that the kiddos and even my wife love!

I love how the perspective changes. You can be driving along and suddenly you're on the ceiling or something. Online multi-player is a blast. This game makes buying a wii-u worth it. I wasn't too crazy about playing with the pad at first, but now it's my go-to controller for the game. I can even play on it while my husband plays a different game on the tv.

This was a great purchase my son and have not put it down since we bought it. All the carts and accessories for the carts are fun to drive.

Mario Kart is a staple of the cart racing genre, and it always has a fantastic gameplay experience. It is fast, it is fun, and it ruins friendships. Mario Kart 8 is no exception - with multiple control schemes, new and improved items, absolutely fantastic track design, gorgeous graphics (for Nintendo), and killer music, I can safely say that Mario Kart 8 is well worth the purchase. The only downside is that the Single Player mode isn't really all that great. It's short and it doesn't really give you any sense of accomplishment. No, Mario Kart 8 shines best in multiplayer (as you would expect) - both local and online. The online system works really well and I haven't had a problem yet. Verdict: 8.5/10

They have definitely taken all of the weaknesses from the original Wii version. better graphics, less ways to cheat. solid improvement
