Good, not a significant gameplay improvement of 8. Definitely not worth the full price even with the open world element, it doesn't have enough to keep you playing over other titles unless this is the only game you intentionally want to keep playing.

It’s ok, I still prefer mariokart 8 but that may just be me. I would bundle this if you want it. $80 is too much for this game

its a fun game and different from the previous versions of Mario kart, but there aren't enough courses on it.

$80 is a ridiculous asking price and I need to rethink my life choices. But they added a driving cow!

The game itself is fine, but as a launch title, its pretty underwhelming.

The choice to make the game open world completely killed it. The graphics couldn't be stepped up from Mario kart 8 because they needed to model all parts of the terrain, and the traversal sections to the track are super boring. Additionally, split screen multiplayer is horrendously choppy. Just so many baffling decisions. You're better off getting MK8.

They got rid of random selection for map. Is only straight races no loops.

Meh. Game has catchy music but nothing ground breaking and free roam is completely pointless.

My family and I stopped playing this game in less than two weeks. We went back to the previous game as this was a HUGE let down.

This is a well-overdue reimagining of Mario Kart. Most of the tracks are new and super fun. You can choose to race the tracks normally, travel from track to track in grand prix mode, or just drive around in free roam. There are lots of things to unlock.
