The game lacks any online capability. The local game is OK (nothing new/special). Not having online made this a deal breaker for me. 2 days after purchase, it is collecting dust.

I bought this for my family and having been a Mario fan boy since the start of the franchise this game fell short for us. We ended up playing Wii Party U instead.

    Yet another fun Mario Party

Mario Party 10 is pretty similar to Mario Party 9 with a few new features. For the main mode you'll be playing with up to four traveling around the board in a vehicle like Mario Party 9 taking turns for rolling a die, landing on spaces, and collecting stars. There's a mode for playing minigames in a tournament style, which can be pretty fun. One of the new modes is Bowser Party, which is probably the most fun mode of the game. Controlling Bowser to wreck havoc on all the other players is a blast. Another new mode is amiibo party. amiibo party works like older versions of Mario Party, though it isn't as fun as since the board is very bland and, of course, requires at least one amiibo from the Super Mario line to play (or Mario characters from the Smash Bros line of amiibo). Overall the game is pretty fun depending on who you're playing with and the mode that was chosen. In most modes winning is more dependent on sheer luck rather than skill. The included Mario amiibo is well made and cheaper to get in this bundle than if you got the game and Mario amiibo separately.

It's not a great game. The game format changed and it isn't nearly as fun as it used to be. I bought it for the cheap amiibo/game discount and should have just bought the amiibo.

I never really loved the old Mario party games, but I have been enjoying this one! The mini games are a lot of fun, and there are a lot of them! The main game is similar to what the other Mario Party games have been; you play on a board game inspired field with dice that determine how far you go and all that. The core of the game is the same, but the sum of its parts make for an enjoyable experience, and the bonus Mario Amiibo is cool as well.

    Fun for Mario fans

I'm far from a serious gamer but I've reconnected with my Mario fandom over the last year since purchasing my Wii U. I've also never played any Mario Party game before (shocking, I know). Mario Party 10 is pretty cool, but better with friends. It's basically a virtual board game with four characters (the computer plays if you don't have three other real people to play with you). Instead of separate game pieces, you're all riding on the same piece. Depending on what space you land on, you can play games to pick up stars and the winner is the player with the most stars at the end. But you can also lose stars and Bowser's out to get you, too. I haven't played this too many times but it's been fun when I did. I wouldn't necessarily consider this "must-have status" but I'd still recommend it if you have a Wii U. If you're into Amiibo and don't yet have this Mario yet, I recommend getting this pack instead of the standalone game because this game is only $10 more with the Amiibo but the Amiibo is $13 by itself. (When Mario Party 10 launched earlier in the year, this bundle was the only way to get this Mario Amiibo... but it has since been released separately and is not at all difficult to find.)

    Great Family Game!!

My family and I are big fans of Mario Party 8. We enjoy playing Mario Party 9, but 8 has always been the game we play the most. We were very excited for Mario Party 10 to come out. 10 is a lot like 9 in the fact that everyone travels in the same vehicle ( something we really don't like) Its nice to have some new mini games to play, we do enjoy them, but the game boards just aren't very exciting. Nothing like the other game boards from the previous versions. Being able to play as Bowser is exciting and does add a whole new dimension to the game. We like to play it just for that feature, but when it comes to playing the rest of the game Mario Party 8 will still be our go to version for family game night.

Wish there was online multiplayer that is the only knock I have against this. The games are rather fun when you get to play. Amiibo functionality is cool as well.

A fun game to play with friends and family. I've enjoyed all the levels on this game and competitively fun. It does seem like the game favors Bowser but that's what makes it all the more competitive.

I've played every Mario Party party game since inception. This one is just as fun if not more. I love every aspect of it. We play this as a family and have a great time competing against each other.

I love the game so much it's fun to play with friends or family or even alone. SO many mini games in the game. I love the new Bowser mode it's a lot of fun and exciting because Bowser chases you down and you have to beat him at his own games.

    Not the best Mario Party

This game does not play like the older Mario Party games, but more like Mario Party 9. Everyone travels together in a car on the board and roll die individually. There are hints of competition on the board, but it isn't as meaningful since you're not hindering their movement. The boss battles and some of the mini games are fun, but all in all, it's not a game that I would replay.
