Strange but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought the idea of the Rabbids and Mario as a turn based tactile RPG was going to be horrible. I'm delighted to say it's not, in fact it has quickly become one of my favorite Switch games. Great in short bursts or long play sessions.

Fun Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fun game to play. I wasn't sure I was going to like this type of game (love my traditional Mario!) but I love this strategy game. I would recommend you check out a twitch or youtube video before buying as I didn't quite understand what this game was about when I first read the back.

Simply Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Who would have guessed these two series would ever be mashed together in turned based goodness? I love this game and look forward to finishing it. If you haven’t played it yet, then what are you waiting for... get this game and play it!

Great tactical game with lots of depth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm pleasantly surprised at how complex this game was. Was worried it would be too simple, but it has tons of depth and actual replayability. Recently tried the multiplayer add on content and it was fun, if only for a half hour or so.

Unexpected Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up this game after hearing great things about it from other people. I should have got it sooner! Its a blast to play and since it's turn based its perfect if you are doing something else which also requires some attention.

Good game, good mechanics, little substance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game would be perfect for $30. As is, it’s a little overpriced for the amount of content you get. It’s a fairly one dimensional game, with strategy involved in battles. It’s got great themes and jokes sprinkled throughout, and really does feel like a true, albeit odd, Mario game.

A welcome addition to the XCOM Genre
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game has all the charm of Mario, but still challenging enough for veterans of the turn-based tactical genre. It encourages aggressive game play rather than defensive caution, so it's quite different from those other games as well.

Very fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about the game. Mario.... bunch of idiot rabbits that remind me of the minions.... turn base battle system. After playing the games for about five hours I can’t get enough of it. It’s fun with many funny moments.

An unexpected gem!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hearing about this game initially had me questioning whether they had any idea what they were doing or not. tactical and strategy along with Nintendo and Rabbids just don't mix in my mind. At least at first! The game has wonderful colorful graphics, game play is solid and a lot deeper that I thought it would be, difficulty was surprisingly hard in a good way, and the game had a great pace that never dragged on too much. Plus it has coop! My girlfriend and I had a blast and she doesn't even play many video games.

Fantastic Strategy Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a must have Switch Game. Despite its strange crossover premise this turned out to be a fantastic strategy game. It has a great learning curve so even if you're not used to strategy games this game is so easy to pick up.

Silly and clever fun strategy game for kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of most odd combination of gaming franchises, Mario and Rabbids, but it turns out to make a witty and fun strategy game. The turn based battles are fun and simple to play while respecting the player's ability to overcome a variety of obstacles. There's even an easy mode where you play a level with more health. The only con is that the stuff between battles is quite boring. If anything, the battle portion and the witty humor will take up most of your attention anyways. Only recommended for patient gamers who's willing to learn from their mistakes and not be upset when they have to retry a level.

Solid, fun game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a huge departure from the normal platforming mechanics Mario fans are accustomed to; its turn-based combat mechanics are strongly influenced by the likes of X-Com (in fact, UbiSoft tried to get X-Com's lead developer to help with making it). That said, it's a very fun game that clearly shows a love for the source material even though the Rabbids themselves are as irreverent as ever. It's a bizarre mix in a lot of ways, but entertaining and often genuinely humorous (a full-on operetta by a boss during the game dedicated to Mario is a highlight), and some of the maps do offer a decent challenge for strategy enthusiasts. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that there's a lot of "re-skinned" enemies across the different Worlds (of which there are currently only four pending any DLC from the upcoming Season Pass content), and the combat maps, while good overall, start to feel a bit repetitive mechanically after awhile.
