Surprisingly Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is not my normal fare, but I gave it a try regardless. I am really glad I did. This game has a strategy system that is easy to get into, but also deep enough to keep enjoying for a long time. Graphically the game is beautiful. The game has a good amount of content and replayability. If you own a Switch, you need to play this game.

Good game for all ages
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: I've only started playing but the levels are fair, kids can play but still slightly challenging and enjoyable for adults. Interactive game. Characters. Graphics. Strategy. I didn't give the game five stars because I am not the biggest Mario fan, but I did give it four because it is still enjoyable. After about 10 hours of game-play, I'm not sure if the game will run out of gas quickly, but I did get it on sale for $20. So overall so far, I think it is a good investment if you can get a good deal. I do think it's a good game to add to the collection, being as people of all ages might find it enjoyable. - If you're a Mario fan, buy this game. If not, consider waiting for a sale, and you'll probably still find enjoyment in combination of story, graphics and additional features.

Get ready for a fun game!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest, i hesitated for a long time to buy this game. I seriously thought it was going to be lame. I had a huge misunderstanding of how the multiplayer worked, and i am so glad i was wrong!!!! I can't put the game down!!! It's sooo much fun! It's honestly one of my top favorite games!!! The humor in the game is fun, quirky and goofy! Seeing the teamwork of Mario and the Rabbids franchise is an awesome move with ubisoft and Nintendo! With the huge variety of weapons in conjunction with the dlc, and the added characters with the dlc, and more, i honestly recommend this game!!!!

Surprise Hit!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy Mario games but was on the fence about this one since it added the RPG aspect into it and wasn't fully developed by Nintendo. Well I am glad I made the purchase because this game is right up there with the first party titles for one of my favorites this year. Definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys turn based games!

Fun puzzle style turn based battles! I was skepti
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game came far out of left field. Mario and crew with guns? In a tactical rpg a la x-com or jagged alliance? What were the designers smoking when they thought of this? Nevertheless, it's executed flawlessly. No RNG frustrations, no save scumming necessary. Lots of little nods to various Mario lore and history. Challenging scenarios, solid skill progression where I never felt over nor under-powered, and great artwork. The plot is horribly contrived but who cares. My 3 year old was riveted with every battle and she'd be the one composing the team. Lastly, Rabbids came before Minions and it's a crime that Minions have become so popular.

Over-welling fun with strategy involved
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best played with two when you get to the higher levels but still loads of laugh and just get ready with scrolling views that can be disorientating for first time players. And on big screen is enjoyable and fun-anything Mario theme plays well for kids and adults and all can join in on the strategy on game play as well.

New Gamer in the Family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My seven year old Grandson ask for Switch, his mother said it was up to me. Decided to get him one since all the other kids in family have one. Brought him the Mario Rabbids game and he is having a great time so far. We thought that he might be to hard for him. But he is enjoying it and actually playing very well.

Wanted to hate it but I love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into this game with mild interest. I don't care for the Rabbids brand. I ended up really enjoying this game a lot; it has a difficulty level that I didn't expect and found the game to be quite addictive. It plays similiarly to the XCOM games. I highly recommend it to fans of Mario, Rabbids and also XCOM.

An Excellent Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, a much better game than I expected it to be based on the Rabbid integration on the cover. Storywise, the game is really well written; I've had multiple moments where I've laughed out loud. The item descriptions are really funny and clever too; excellent writing overall. Great graphics. The gameplay is really fun and unique, with a great Nintendo twist; the difficulty in the game scales well, providing a solid challenge that is not impossible, but that you definitely feel you've accomplished something when you defeat a chapter. The diversity of character skills is also nice. Overall, a really excellent game worth a recommendation.

Awesome tactics game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was apprehensive when I saw that a Mario title was being pushed out by Ubisoft, but when the description was a tactical game, I had to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did. This is like XCOM with a fun Mario story. The difficulty is just right, teaching you how to play the game as it goes along. A solid title

a game that will make you smile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mario + Rabbids I did not think I would have as much fun with it as I am. It's full of strategy without being overbearing like other tactic games. Easy to pick up for a quick session of gaming.

Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Initially bought this game for my wife, and I could tell that she didn’t understand how to play it. She eventually stopped playing. I am not a fan of the Rabbid games, but I do love Mario games. I’ll admit I had to figure out how to play the game correctly, and I’ll say that this was this a great game.

Fun Strategy Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surprisingly, this is one of the Switch's best games right now. Just a really fun strategy game that's built in the Mario world, plus the Rabbids of course. I was not crazy about the Rabbids thing, but they kinda grow on you after a while. If you liked Mario RPG from the SNES days you will enjoy this.

XCom meets Mario
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unique strategy based gameplay in the spirit of XCom, but with the charm of the Mushroom Kingdom and Rabbids for good measure. Lengthy campaign and many secrets. Nintendo always has the best first party exclusives, and the Switch is no different, they have come out of the gate swinging this generation.

Excellent strategy game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although many were worried about the mashup between Nintendo's Mario and Ubisofts' Rabbids, the latter which have qualities that make many adults cringe, the actual product finely balances the line between keeping the Nintendo faithful happy while allowing the Rabbids' crazy and zany antics, all within a surprisingly deep and entertaining turn-based strategy game, along the likes of the new XCOM. Some of the game's best moments are the interactions between the main cast, a mix of Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi, along with Rabbid counterparts, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Yoshi - who are all imbued with their namesakes personality, amped to 11 and twisted. In classic strategy RPG fashion, battles get increasingly harder as new abilities, heroes, and enemies are introduced. It isn't as hard as XCOM, with a simplified cover system (no sight, 0%, 50%, 100%), no permadeath, and teams of 3 (Mario required always), but crazy random abilities like fire (cause running around randomly), bounce (extra damage for "ring out"), vamp (heal on hit), and abilities like dash hits, team jumps/stomps, fear/attract, etc. keep things interesting - along with analogs to overwatch, shields, explosives/area weapons (with splash, friendly-fire damage), critical hits and other familiar elements. In classic XCOM fashion, it feels so good to plan out a strategic attack that executes better than you expected, but the RNG can hurt you as much as it can help, as occasionally the enemies, who can use many of the same abilities, will get lucky, destroy your cover and critical with multiple bounce hits and overwatches to knock out one of your heroes in 1 turn. Weapons can't be changed, each hero has their own primary and secondary (gun with explosive or melee), and upgrades can be bought, with usually 2 secondary types per character. For example, Mario has a "blaster" and hammer with choice of honey or bounce effects, while Luigi has a sniper and a exploding drone with bounce or oil effects. The main quest has upwards of 40 main levels, each or each pair with a Gold Medal awarded if none of the heroes are knocked out, as well as challenges once each world is competed, keeping even experienced players occupied for a few dozen hours completing challenges and trying out all of the combinations of heroes.
