Too man scripts

Loses a lot of the Charm of the Original

Yes, there are big open areas to explore vs the original game's multi-linear paths, but the big areas don't feel like a good tradeoff for the downgrade in art direction that came along with it. If the first game was a 9 (a 10 if you count the DLC), this game is a 6.5.

I own the first game and Sparks of Hope is better in every way. The package also arrived on time with no issues to speak of. Five stars all around.

So much fun

I find myself about to put it down and then saying okay just one more battle.. i do this a lot. This game is definitely a big improvement over the first in many ways especially in the movement department.

At the same time, the game's fun and colorful art design doesn't make the game feel like a kid's game. It's just bright and jolly without infantilizing the player.
