I'm surprised this series still exists. I'm not sure how the previous games were like, but if your a newcomer or want an alternative to Mario Party, this is probably the game for you.
The sports matches feel fair for the most part and playing with multiple people with the motion controls on really gives you that old school arcade feeling. What the game does lack however is a good story mode. it's decent, but something your probably going to forget about. the only reason TOO play story mode is just to unlock the extra characters.
What surprises me the most is how polished everything is in this game. Maybe it was having Nintendo as a partner, or something but this game feels very stable and Graphically looks very good.
I really wish they had just not made an online mode, as it's very clear that no one is playing this game online, maybe if you and a friend have a copy each but this game feels more fun in person.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is a fun series which feature former rivals in the industry competing at the worldwide Olympic Games. Playing with friends is really fun, especially when you work together on a game like football or rugby. However, the story mode isn't very good. The cutscenes and dialogue feel like they were made with nothing but duct tape. The missions go from pretty easy to very difficult very quickly. Get the game as long as you know you'll play after the story mode is over.

This game is fun and innocent for young kids. We play it on Nintendo Switch during family parties and the kids (and some adults) enjoy it. No violence, no mature theme, just a wholesome multi-player game that parents can feel safe having their kids play. Only reason for 4 stars is the games are ok, nothing super great that the kids go back to all the time, but during family get-togethers, this is a good social game and time consumer

Mario & Sonic Olympic Games Tokyo is a great game to start with on your switch, its relatively easy and though out each game you learn how to use the controller. It's great fun and there are many games to play by yourself or with others. Surfing, Football-Soccer, Archery, Skateboarding and on and on. Very fun.

Hi all! I definitely like this game as it is still fun to play with your kids. However, I felt like they could have made this game more intricate for adults. It seems fairly easy to pass and the story mode is just nonsense. Competitively it still a good game for light gamers and people who do not know how to use a controller. I find it quite pleasing to play casually with friends and for that its worth the money.

Fun game with tons of events to choose from. Like the storyline in story mode. Like the old retro look with going back to 1964 Tokyo Olympics also and seeing differences between current and older events that were included in each games. Many characters to choose from. Hard to not foul in triple jumps or long jump. Takes practice!

A lot of little games, for you to like a few. I guess it is ok, since different people may have different preferences. I just don’t feel these games add anything to the kids development, but still good that there is no killing other characters in the pursuit of points…

This game has hours of family fun. The grandkids and I played for hours of fun. This is a great game to have on a rainy day or if you want to get in some exercise.

Fun for the whole family (up to four players locally). Great for kids of all ages but some younger age kids (5 and under) might need some assistance with some of the mini-games. We've enjoyed this game the same way we enjoy playing Mario Party.

Great to have & to play with family members.
Its fun and lots of different events to choose.
Its a must have especially the upcoming Olympic games will be held in Japan this year 2020. So would be great fun times to play & watch at same time.

I am having fun figuring out the multiple games offered. It is challenging for me to master the controls on the different games. An instruction book to accompany this game would help people like me. I would give it a five star rating if this book would be included. Great variety of games and difficulty levels.
