You can now win by breaking the opponent's bracket. So in a sense, this game is not just a sport, but feel almost like a fighting game. You have to not only read the opponent next move, but keep in mind of your special meter in order to counter their special move. All in all, the fun of Mario Tennis is there just like the previous title.

It's fun but campy

Story mode is fun, but trite; there's a part at the beginning where an NPC tells Mario it's too dangerous for them to proceed and Toad says what if we show you our tennis skills? And then that repeats over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and then you play some tennis sometimes.
