I was expecting to like this game, but honestly it's not that great. It's got a lot of great characters to play as, and the sounds/music are solid, but much of the rest of the game is lacking. This game has very uninteresting gameplay that's very repetitive and uninspired. This applies to level design, bosses, and controls. Heck the leveling system is pretty mediocre and doesn't really do a whole lot to mix things up. The graphics are also pretty mediocre, it's somewhat madeup by the art direction, but even then aliasing is very noticeable whether on the Switch's screen, or on a TV. On top of that the frame-rate is very unstable. It targets 30fps, but rarely holds to that for long when many characters are on screen attacking all at once. And the camera has a bad habit of getting stuck on level elements, further adding to the other technical issues. I wouldn't really recommend this game to anyone, even die hard fans of Marvel, especially when other Marvel games that have been released (such as the prior Ultimate Alliance titles).

I loved the original UA games from the PS3, I even bought them on the PS4 store to play and they are still pretty awesome just downgraded graphics...well this game is different in some ways but great in others. The graphics are a lot better. Gameplay can get a little confusing and at times hard to figure out what is going on due to soooo many animations on the screen at once. This is one of the few games my gf will play but she loves the hack, slash and button mash type of games.

The game is fun. You have a roster of dozens of Marvel's most well known characters each with unique(ish) power sets. The story is ok, and the camera can get wonky, but there is longevity for those looking for it. Completionists (if they like the combat) will have a field day as each character has their own level cap and there are different Infinity trials that give you bite sized chunks to complete for rewards.

Great fun for button mashing on the road. Depth of story or gameplay is absent as well as the movie likeness and voice work. Also, the graphics are cell shaded which would have been beautiful on the PS2 but they are dated looking on the Switch. But, it’s a lot of button mashing fun that I paid $43 for. I can’t recommend it at a higher price point. But buy it on the cartridge because it takes up less space on your Switch memory card. Remember there is paid DLC as well.

This game is meant to be played with other people as it can become repetitive when playing alone. There are some issues as the graphics don't look amazing and the camera has some issues. Specifically when it locks onto a hero who isn't you, and you then can't really see what's going on. If you have friends coming over for a weekend, then this is a great game to put in. Or you can hop online and play with strangers as well. Wait for it to go on sale and then pick it up.

One of the best games of this genre that the whole family can play. You do end up replaying the same battles but with some slight differences each time but it was still fun each time, especially since you gradually unlock more characters. If they had more downloadable content, we could have played longer. I would definitely recommend this game. It’s worth the money.

Not really into the Alliance series of games but decided to pick this up for the co-op for my vacation weekend with my brothers. I ended up playing solo most of the time because I wanted it all to myself. I really enjoy the huge variety of characters to choose from and all the possible unlocks to get. I'm looking forward to completing the game and I dont get the opportunity to do that often. Must buy!

This was an instant buy for me as a fan of the previous 2 installments to the series. There are some arguments that it may not be as good as the originals but this is still fun in it's own right. Great couch co op button mashing fun. Plenty of characters to choose from and fun to watch them be introduced in the main story as it progresses. Looking forward to more characters coming as dlc.
