Spiderman GOTY edition was a really fun game. Combat and fighting mechanics are really fun, as well as swinging through the city. Plenty of suits to choose from the Spiderman historic catalog (including the retro cartoon suit which was mind-blowing). Story was solid, side mission collectible stuff was a tad repetitive but still entertaining nonetheless. 9/10 would save NYC again

Its a terrific game with lots of things that change the pace. I mean you really feel like your friendly neighborhood Spiderman on this one. I love the graphics and the controls are easy to get use to too. I really like the open world aspect of this game. This takes me back to Spider Man 2 on the PS2 days but this is better of course.

Spider-Man is a beautiful game. There's not much to say about the game's graphics other than they're lovely. Animations, in particular, are excellent and tight, making movement and combat both visually pleasing and satisfying to play. The city is beautiful. Marvel's Spider-Man is a fantastic PS4 exclusive and one of the best superhero games ever made. ... It's more than a little amazing to see a game as good as Spider-Man release just a few months after the incredible God Of War reboot. Add to that a great array of villains, some great world-building, a lot of great story and characters, and round awesome gameplay makes this game quite simply something you don't want to miss. The gameplay in Spider-man is quite simply just stunning. TL;DR: Spider-Man is a fantastic action game with great movement and combat and a compelling story that's only dragged down from time to time with boring missions and QTE-based boss fights. The developer's enthusiasm and hard work have paid off by creating a game that provides the ultimate Spider-Man experience. It's definitely worth buying.

The best Spider-Man game ever! It has a great story and the gameplay is crisp and smooth. The open world New York is amazing, you can have fun just swinging thru the city. My only complaint is that the dlc is just on a voucher instead of on the disc. It adds the extra steps on needing to redeem and download the code from the ps store.

I'm not even a spider-man fan and this game is amazing. It's no wonder it is "game of the year" and received many praises. It is fast paced and the graphics and gameplay are amazing. You can tell a lot of love went into creating this game. This is a MUST HAVE game that's worth paying for.

It’s a fun game , at times some missions seem repetitive but the amount of action makes up for it and it’s overall a very beautiful and engaging game. I don’t know why I took so long to try it out but it’s definitely worth a buy especially at the current $20 price.

Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the best games starring the webslinger to date. The graphics are top notch, the swinging is incredibly fun, and the story and gameplay are extremely entertaining. Sony and Marvel were right to let Insomniac create one of the most fun games on the PS4.

This is in my opinion one of the best games on the PS4. The controls just seem to work perfectly. The combat is fun and kind of addicting after awhile. The game looks amazing graphically and it’s a pretty good story. Also you can choose from a large variety of costumes for Spider-Man to wear.

Games like this are reason most people buy consoles. A little slow at start but picks up after about a hour. If you like open world games you will love this game. Controls are very responsive. Dlc is very good well done. Cons: dlc is not on disk Loading can be a bit annoying

I’ve played this game before and I wanted to get my own copy of the game but I didnt wanna pay $60 so I waited. Then when I saw that Best Buy was selling not just the game, but the dlc included for $20 and with free & quick shipping. I bought it immediately and I’m so glad I did. I love this game and couldn’t ask for a better deal.

I've played this only a little while but I'm learning about this game as I go along. I've mainly been doing the side missions and collecting items and have done the first few main story missions as I'm trying to earn points towards upgrades. The graphics look really good and so far it seems to have a good story. As a side note, my only criticism is that it would have been nice to have included a tutorial I could go to every time a acquired a new skill.

This is a great game by Insomniac. I had beat the game except for the DLC and decided to get this cos it was on sale for $20. Side missions are repetitive but there is so much fun in just swinging and exploring. Worth the play through.

The game was super fun! Love the open world and all the side stuff to do. The story was super engaging and well written I’ve never had a video game make me want to cry in the end. Would totally recommend if you have a PlayStation

One of my favorite games of this generation. It’s so much fun swinging around NY as Spidey. The story and action is fluid. You’re motivated to get all the suits etc. The DLC that is included in the game of the year adds to the great content.

I held off for so long, waiting and hoping for some sort of complete edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man, and my patience paid off. Friends told me that it was worth paying full price for, and it truly is (but I waited and got it Black Friday weekend for cheap, so that makes it even more rewarding). The gameplay is excellent, very fluid and you really get to feel like you’re Spider-Man. The animation is excellent, as is the voice acting and score. As the game progresses, a lot of the side missions do get very repetitive, which is the danger of an open world sandbox game like this. But c’mon, it’s amazing to see New York rendered in such amazing (no pun intended) detail. Can’t wait to play the Miles Morales game and the inevitable sequel!

Spider-man on the PS4 is a game-of-the-year (GOTY) winner for good reason. Fantastic game-play, fun control combos, great graphics, and fun dialogue. Plus, with the GOTY version, you get ALL of the DLC content for the same, great price!

In short, this game as an open world experience is a love letter to fans and distant viewers of Spider-Man media. From the story having some beats that got me off guard in where they would go. Admittedly with some predictable things that were still thrilling to see. Speaking on the main game as a whole I would say this is a must play for anyone with a PS4 with even a passing appreciation for Marvel properties. Now. Where game may lose some like it did me was the DLC, While it does raise things up it definitely feels more contrived and not as satisfying as the main story from beginning to end. Regardless it does provide more types of play and more of the tightest and most satisfying gameplay I have had my hands on in a bit.

This game is simply put, a blast. Right from the start you are thrown into the action. The tutorials are very helpful and do not indulge in too much hand holding. The skill tree is also one of the things I really like about this game. Acquiring new abilities and using them effectively in combat is oh so satisfying. The story is pretty engaging, pulling in characters from all over the Spidey universe as well as adding new ones which is refreshing. The gameplay is amazing, reminded me a little bit of the Arkham games due to the fluidity of Spidey's moves, which should tell you that its loads of fun to play as Spidey. All in all, an awesome game that all Marvel fans/Superheo genre fans or just fans of great gameplay should give a shot.

The graphics are great! Good action, story line ,fun open world and easy gameplay! I enjoyed playing it so much I purchased two of them for my friends as well! Worth the buy during this pandemic!

Great story and action through the entire game. This is actually my second time buying this game. I did for the dlc and the price of 10$ with points. Definitely all-time top10 ps4 game.
