I had high hopes for this game, but - despite the expectations - the PS4 Spider-Man exclusive exceeded them by a decent margin. They may have outdone themselves in the Spider-Man universe with this one; it's very well developed. Great gameplay. Great cinematic sequences. Great story. Also, finally, they made Peter Parker shine, which the previous games were never able to quite do. There is plenty to do in this one as well. Be prepared to get lost in NYC! I feel bad for those who'll miss out on the other consoles because this one was a blast.

First game this summer to make me put down God of War. I've spent the afternoon just web-slinging around the open world city, building to building and it feels like I'm actually there! Surprise game of the year. Combat is innovative, intuitive with some of the best animations I've seen yet. I cannot recall a more addictive game. Look out Arkham series, there's a new, improved super hero champion in town! And this one resides in NYC! Cancelling my preorder for Red Dead Redemption now, as I doubt I'll pull myself away from this anytime soon.

WOW!!! I was really worried this game wasn't going to live up to the hype. But it does. It is so good. You feel like Spider-man. The story is fun and engaging. The voice-acting is great. The writing is funny, strong, and emotional. The end of this game will make you cry if you have any heart at all. Lots of things to do, explore, and items to get. I platinum'ed this on the PS4 and it was worth every second. (its an easy platinum as well). Get it, play it, search every nook and cranny of New York, and become Spider-man!

Hands Down, Insomniac's Spiderman is one of the best games I have played in recent years. Not since AC Origins or The Witcher 3 have I felt so immersed in story with great character development as well as overall conept. I genuinely felt as If I was Peter Parker, fighting super villains, high fiving civilians and dealing with relationship issues. I give Spiderman PS4 a 10/10. I also wanna say thank you to my Local Best Buy for providing spectacular service. I really appreciate the kindness and care I was shown along with my purchase.

Insomniac Games did a great job bringing Spider-Man to the gamers. From gamers to comic fans, especially for those Spidey fans out there. They won't be disappointed with the Spider-Man gameplay. An easy combat combo system complete with finishers that just brings those comic pages to gamers and comic fans alike. The tutorial built into the story's prologue will get players familiar with controls. Yes, gamers can even swing through the city freely pulling off acrobatics stunts along the way to missions. Players can unlock, spidey suits each with unique special abilities and mods to empower Spider-Man. A with combat skill point system that gives more abilities to Spider-Man. Players do NOT need to unlock the skills system just adds for more combat options. For those players that like to, unlike all the skills before heading out on the story. Along with combat skill points, players can add special gadgets to Spider-Man's combat abilities. There is even an in-game only social media menu. Players if want to, can read all the comments the citizens have about Spider-Man good and bad. The game is not without flaws and one of the biggest ones is the controls. At times the control gets sluggish or nonresponsive. Switched out controllers several times and even purchased a new controller and the response is still the same. This is a pain during combat and while trying to complete the challenges presented. There the tedious parts of the story that players have to play as the supporting characters. There was only one of those that enjoyed playing. Then the combat with the villain bosses being scripted doesn't distract but just would've liked to have more combat. Upon completing the story gamers can still free roam around the city fouling crimes. Hang out with citizens around the city to riding the subway. There is also additional content being added to the game that will introduce more gameplay with release dates yet to be determined. There may be reasons that some players will compare this title to another older title, Batman Arkham Asylum games. But Spider-Man stands on it's on webbing here.

Truly an awesome single player game. Plenty of unlockable costumes throughout the game to look forward too. Side missions to keep yourself away from the main story so you don’t beat it too quick. Web swinging is incredible to play with (my friend would play the game without touching the missions just swinging). Once beaten 100% you’ll put the game away for a while but you will still appreciate it and likely come back to it. The also isn’t very difficult which could be a concern for some but those are the minor flaws. Game is great

Best spiderman game ever. Swinging, minigames, story, graphics, fun factor. Nothing else has come close to this entry for spiderman games.

Would highly recommend this game. Great story line, graphics, and gameplay. Swinging through Manhattan was a tone of fun on its own.

The best super hero game of all time. The battle is so smooth and fun. Web slinging through Manhattan is thrilling and enjoyable. The story keeps you entertained, but I found myself swinging around doing all the side stuff trying to improve my combat moves more. I think it’s also because I don’t want the game to end. Definitely will be getting the future DLCs, which I normally don’t for most games. There is still plenty to do in the base game, so don’t let the announcement of their DLC scare you away from this great game.

I am a HUGE Spider-Man fan, so I may be a bit biased. The web swinging is so fun and feels very natural. The story was great! Felt like I was watching an interactive movie, so cool! The fighting is also great, it can be difficult at some points but its definitely possible to get really good at! There's so many different side quests that even after finishing the main quest, there's so much more to do. Lastly, there is a ton of Marvel easter eggs, as there should be. Overall HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dont hesitate to purchase.

Yeeessssss! Finally, a well-crafted Spider-Man game. It incorporates fighting mechanics very similar to the Batman:Arkham series (A good thing) with the brash humor we've come to expect with our friendly neighborhood wall crawler. The city pops. Insomniac captures the rich, vibrant nature of New York. Web swinging throughout this concrete jungle is a whole lot of fun. And the supporting characters all play to their strengths and make for a complete, satisfying narrative. Long live Peter Parker. Long live Spider-Man.

Excellent graphics, compelling story, fantastic swinging elements, this is how a Spider Man game should be made. Highly recommend it!

This is a wonderful game for any skill or commitment level. The story is funny with teenage humor and excellent graphics. I found myself completing all challenges and achieving a 100% completion for the final suit. I rarely will play a game for all the Easter eggs and challenges but this was the exception. For me the game was great but if you only focus on the main story without side missions it could be considered short. I recommend you try some of the side missions as new characters and paths do become available.

The game is fun you can follow the story or go on side quests at your own pace. The action makes you feel like spiderman.

This game was an absolute blast. Granted I'm a big Marvel fan, the overall gameplay was just a treat from start to finish. I got vibes of Infamous and the Arkham franchise. The combat system can be tricky but remained fun throughout. The story moves pretty well and it's original enough, thankfully not another origin tale. Visually it is really well made, even swinging through Manhattan at high speeds everything remains pretty well focused and never really wore on the eyes. Very excited to see the DLC or a sequel.

This is perhaps the first game since Spider-Man 2 to get the feeling of being Spider-Man so right. The momentum based swing mechanics makes traversal feel natural and satisfying, combat is fast and fluid and the overall story and writing are engaging and entertaining. Some elements of the game's structure and design feel slightly dated, but all of the more modern flare and epic presentation more than makes up for it. Anyone who considers themselves a fan of action games should give Marvel's Spider-Man a chance.

This is a great game. I really felt like Spider-Man, swinging through the concrete canyon that is Manhattan. The graphics were great, the gameplay fun and the story compelling. After getting 100% I still go back for more. Insomniac Games took this license and ran with it. They made a great impact in the Marvel gaming universe, and I hope to see more from them. I now know why they are called "Insomniac", because you will want to stay up late playing their game. Any Spidey fan will love this game, it is a must.

This game is very fun, great graphics, and story. However, some of the side missions can be repetitive. Still worth the $60 though

I'd been wanting to get this game ever since it first launched. But I haven't been able to really justify spending $60 on games lately, given how so many games just aren't worth it anymore. This game is worth it. It looks great. The game play is fun and, although a tad repetitive, serves the story well which is fantastic on its own. The voice acting is great and everything does justice to Spider-Man in general. Best of all? I got it on sale for $20. You just can't beat that.

Insomniac's version of Spider-Man is taking the good things in every game they have made so far and incorporating it in their new game. Just the swinging alone is enough to recommend this game. Collecting everything is not tedious and is actually very fun. Combat is so diverse. There are so many ways to do combat, and all of them are fun! Stealth is also fun! It's not boring enough that players have to wait long times for the routines. Just, just play this game. It's the most "fun" game this year, I'm.
