Right from the start the game hooks you with the opening act trying to bring in Kingpin. The fighting mechanics, web slinging, voice acting and motion capture animation are all done spectacularly. Some of the characters are reimagined so you’re never too sure how the story is gonna play out and who will end up being your friend or foe. The pacing is excellent with plenty of side missions to keep you engaged. As a life long Spidey and video game fan I am greatly satisfied with how this game turned out.

I didn't know it, but I've waited years for this game. Replay value at it's finest. Insomniac put a lot of hard work into this one and it shows. The story, the design, the voice acting, the gameplay, the music, ALL phenomenal. I don't usually game very often so I don't usually beat a lot of the games I buy. I know, I know. I beat this game in less than 2 weeks. I couldn't put it down. Buy this game. You won't regret it.

Spiderman was such a joy to play. The combat was fun... omg swinging was SO much fun and the story was pretty good. The voice acting was great as well. There is plenty to do in the game, lots of side missions and collectibles to get. This is one of the only games I have ever replayed as well... I started a new game + so I can play on ultra hard... and even though I already know the story, it's still so fun to go through again. I also enjoyed the DLC's and it was worth the extra money

I really can't do justice to this game with just words, but suffice to say that I've loved Spider-Man for as long as I can remember (I started watching the animated series in the 90s when I was little, and put countless hours into the Spider-Man 2 game) and this game pays amazing homage to the source in every way possible. Amazing battle system, graphics, story, replayability, everything. If you're a Spider-Man fan, you have a duty to give this game a try. You won't be disappointed.

If it had 6 stars it would be 7. The story in this game is simply amazing. Really a lot of depth I. This. The amount of fighting you do is insane but it’s omay because they made it lots of fun and enjoyable and moves for everyone. There are a few hiccups in sound but only for like half a second. Landing on a building can be tricky sometimes but once you learn the tricks it’s great. Web slinging through New York and the amount of detail they did is beyond awesome. I’m truly amazed at this game.

Like many, I was skeptical about this game when announced.But the first 20 minitues washed away any doubts I had. This is easily the best Spider-Man game I've ever played and my favorite incarnation of Peter Parker. The story, combat, animation, easter eggs, unlockables, and DLC are all top notch and culminate into one amazing title. I'm looking forward to the Spider-Man: Miles Morales game whenever I can get a PS5

This game was amazing, story, gameplay, graphics, etc. It's always hard to juggle all the different aspects of a large open world game and keep things immersive. Insomniac knocked this one out of the park. You could explore the world, do the story, etc. and really feel like spider man! Physics were great, moves were awesome, even the suits gave unique perspectives. Can't wait for the PS5 version with Miles Morales.

Spider-Man is back. All I really wanted was to web swing around the city in a new Spider-Man game but this one surprised me with the fun Arkham inspired combat and multitude of suits and powers available. Not to mention a great story to introduce you the Insomniac Spider-Man universe that leaves the door open for some characters in the Spidey world that haven't seen the care they deserve in games. A must play and another PlayStation exclusive that proves they are the console to have.

I always already looking forward to this game to begin with, but once I started playing, the journey itself was breathtaking! It’s very time consuming wth the challenges added to the main story as well. If you’re looking for a story worth investing in, and are into Spider-Man or superheroes in general, this is the game to buy! For kids, it’s a great game just with parental guidance provided, of course! I can’t wait to see what Insomniac has in store with the DLC! 10/10 this game!

This game has far exceeded my expectations in every way. I have played majority of the previous spiderman titles on various consoles over the years and enjoyed most of them. This game is just well done graphically, story telling and pace. Swinging through NY just feels so exhilarating. The graphics are great and the story keeps you engaged. I'm also doing many of the side quests because I don't want it to end. This is a must play for even the non spiderman fan. Highly recommend it!

I've played a majority of the Spider-Man games that have come out and nothing has really been as good as Spider-Man on PS1 until I played this. This game is incredible. From the story to the gameplay, you'll be hooked. If you want to take a break from the main story, there are various side missions and challenges to do. There's a bunch of gang hideouts to take out and 28 different costumes to unlock. This game also has a bunch of easter eggs and nods to other Marvel characters.

A graphical marvel with an action filled story. Tight controls; swinging around New York has never felt so great!

Great game. Fun to play. Good story. Needs more villains. Plays like the Batman Arkham games but with more swinging.

What a terrific game. It had everything I wanted in a Spider-Man game. The combat was very fast paced, the webslinging was extremely satisfying, and the plot/story was actually pretty solid. I enjoyed this version of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, loved the amount of suits, and was fanboying when they'd reference some of the movies or other characters (some are being saved for DLC it seems). Anyway, this game is the definitive Spider-Man game and it's an easy 9/10 in my book.

If you liked the old PS2 version of Spider-Man 2, then you're going to love this. Insomniac nailed it with this game. Web-Slinging is fluid, intuitive, and fun. Combat works very similar to the Arkham Asylum games, with a dedicated dodge button, finisher moves, and gadgets to use. This game is Open-World like GTA, and random crimes pop up for Spider-Man to solve. There are also lots of other activities like racing drones, beating enemy bases, and going on side-quests.

It's about time we finally got an open world Marvel game worth our time. Insomniac knocked it out of the park with this game. You can spend hours just swinging around the city. The side quests, like a lot of open world games, can get a little repetitive, but other than that this one fun game.

Not only is this game breathtaking as far as graphics, it is enjoyable and has hours of endless fun! My other praise for this game is that the controls are pretty forgiving for people who aren't pro console players and like to press one or two buttons for fighting enemys (even then, you have more challenging settings for those who like harder games) all in all if, you love spider man, this is the best spider man game out there and I highly recommend it
