What I mean is that the game gives you so much to do and structures its campaign in a way that you can hop out at any point and feel like you're not stopping at a weird point, disjointing the story. You can also hop in to just complete some tasks and hop and still feel you got a lot done in a short play session. And of course, the swinging around is superb.

This is one of the best looking games on the PS4. Not the most full featured when it comes to the open world component; side missions can get a bit repetitive but still lots of fun. Web slinging is the most gratifying and maybe even addictive gameplay mechanic I’ve experienced in years.

Be prepared to spend many hours playing in the world of Spiderman. Overall this game is a hit. The gameplay is amazing, the storyline is good, and the side quests are a bit puzzling but who really does side quests?

This is the best Spider-Man yet. Freedom to do almost anything as Spiderman. Always something to do. Good story and good graphics. After 3.3 millions games of this was sold. Now I know why and I guess you can say I was part of the revolution with my pre-order. Heck! Even jump the gun and got the wannabe season pass to this game too. Just go and get it.

This is the most fun I've ever had playing a Spider-Man game! The best combat in a game so far. Swinging around the city makes one feel like they're really playing as Spider-Man. There's variety in the way you traverse the terrain and how you take down bad guys, from a lowly criminal to big time boss. This is a game I would play over and over again.

...when it's not expecting you to be Batman. This isn't an Arkham game and the stealth portions just don't work. No matter how "stealthy" you are, it's thrown out the window when additional waves show up. Additionally, the amount of time you're expected to play as Peter Parker or other characters just bring the pace of the game to a halt. That said, when you're allowed to be Spider-man, the game really shines. The combat is smooth and will genuinely test your reflexes. The webswingin mechanics are as good as they've been since Spiderman 2 on Gamecube, and the production values are excellent, even if the character faces are a bit uncanny valley. At under $20, it's a no brainer.

I dont know where to begin other than to say GO BUY THIS GAME!! You will not be disappointed. If you have little sense of what Spiderman is this game gives you that experience. From fighting to swinging to overall story this game delivers! Insomniac Games has set a new bar similar to how Rocksteady did with the Arkham series. A DEFINITE MUST-HAVE

OK, so I actually purchased this game for myself I walked away for a bit from the PS4 so the game could install, and came back to my Son playing. I haven't been "allowed" to play since lol. My son is not usually into these types of games, but he loves the new Spiderman. Graphics and controls look very smooth, and the story has kept my son hooked.

This is by far the BEST Spider-Man game on the market. The gameplay is spectacular. Every cut scene had me believing that I was watching a movie. Phenomenal voice acting led to an immersive story line. Knowing that there is DLC already slated to continue and add to this new Spider-Man experience is another huge plus. Couldn't be more impressed.

I really loved this game. It reminded me of the great Spider-Man 2 game from the PS2/Gamecube days. The graphics are great, the gameplay is super fun, but the story is real highlight. A very moving, engaging story (and it isn't the same origin story we've seen too often in the last 18 years). I haven't played the DLC yet but I intend to.

Amazing game. Good battle system, the graphics are beautiful and the web slinging is as good as it's ever been; you'll probably rarely use the insta-travel just because web slinging is REALLY good. If you ever played Spider-man 2 during your childhood, this game will bring you back to that era. If you never did, you'll be amazed either way.

The graphics were breathe taking. Multiple times throughout the game I was just perched on a tall building in awe of what they created. The story was everything you could imagine and more. But what’s going to tie it together and make it game of the year is how easy and graceful it was to fly around the city. Favorite game of the last 5 years.

This is by far one of the best superhero games! I like it just a bit more than the arkham games (me being a fan of batman) just because of how smooth you can go from swinging to webbing enemies. The story is really really good and the physics of the game is phenomenal! I hope we can get a sequel or another superhero game from Insomniac :D

One of the few superhero games that is actually very fun to play (like the Batman Arkham series). The story and the combat is pretty nice, but the most fun part is probably swinging around the city. My only complaint is that it's one of the games where it makes the PS4 fans go overdrive.

Between the melee combos mixed with the webbing combos mixed with spider sense abilities the game controls are really nice. Additionally you get more xp points for swagging out the fights with tricks while beating up villains in true Spider-Man fashion. This game is very well put together and will be tough to beat out for game of the year!

I was late to the party for this game by about a year, but the wait was worth it and it lives up to the hype. The web swinging feels smooth. The combat is solid; it's pretty much the Batman Arkham games combat but it feels natural and not like it's just copying someone else's homework. Would totally recommend this game.

Many games these days lack either details in graphics or story line or gameplay or even acting and character development. This game did not remake the previous spiderman. It introduced a new storyline of a more seasoned peter parker. It had amazing character/villain development. Many easter eggs. Beautifully included many classic spider man villains. The graphics were amazing to point I could see through most of the windows of the building and see the furnitures inside. The fight mechanism was easy to learn yet satisfying and never boring. The gameplay was amazing. The story line and hours it took to complete it was very satisfying. The difficulty level was nice meaning it would achievable but also not easy to make you shy away from continuing. I can not say enough about this game. The story was so good I kept thinking about it during the day and waiting to get back to it to see what happens next. They even had easter eggs that you wouldn't expect that came from various recent sources and when you see them it will make it just that much better. In the end please buy it and enjoy this game as It is just as good as GTA was in terms of playability and attention to details.
