Insomniac games has accomplished the rare feat or letting you live the fantasy of becoming one of the all-time classic super heroes. This is the first time a studio not named Rocksteady has delivered truly polished deep combat and traversal systems that encourage you to improvise on the fly making you feel as if you have slipped on the suit of a super hero. Beyond that accomplishment, the voice acting, storytelling and environmental design are truly amazing. The first time you see the shimmer of the steel and glass off the skyscrapers at sunset, you will understand the hard work this studio has done to make a playground you will love to explore. This is one of the true gems of the PlayStation line-up and in my opinion is highly recommended for every player who loves open world action games. To go a step further, this is a must-own for Spider-man fans and includes tons of Easter eggs and references to some of lesser-known plots throughout the comics with Insomniac’s own unique viewpoint on the characters.

I am a both a marvel and Spider-man fan, but not the largest fan of either. Additionally, I have not played a super-hero game that has been well done for some time (since Arkham series). Therefore, I was a bit skeptical that this game would deliver on the hype, even though Insomniac (creator of Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Sunset Overdrive, etc.) was at the helm. Luckily, this game is worth every penny. Are there issues with the game? Sure, but I don't know many modern games that are flawless. The main villains can be a bit one-dimensional, there are repetitive side quests and the graphics can be sub-standard at times. However, otherwise, the gameplay is extremely fun and refreshing. The combat feels very similar to Batman (Arkham series), which is not a bad thing, and traversing from point A to point B feels very natural. Additionally, the storyline, especially as Peter Parker, is fantastic. Overall, I would highly recommend this game to anyone wishing to have a good time playing as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

This is the best comic book game since Batman: Arkham Asylum. It is similar to Sunset Overdrive and Infamous: Second Son, but more refined, with incredibly fluid combat. Stinging combos with skills, gadgets and suit powers is ridiculously fun. The story and production value is worthy of an MCU film.

This game truly captures the spirit of Spider-man. His web swinging alone is beautiful and the combat mechanics are similar to Batman Arkham Asylum. That combat system makes more sense for Spidey due to his acrobatics. the story is good and keeps you wanting to play to the end. Definitely get this!

This game has some of the best graphics I’ve seen to this day. A great story even if you don’t like Spiderman. Like the title says it’s a must play on the PS4. The mechanics in this game are unlike any other, it makes you really feel like you are Spiderman.

Insomniac Games' Spider-Man is an absolutely amazing game that holds the player's interest for several hours. At some point, the novelty begins to fade a bit, especially if you become a side quest completionist, but the steady stream of new skills, new tech, and new suits keeps things interesting.

This game lives up to all the hype and awesomeness. The story is intriguing and the combat is slick and clean. Most impressing is the ability to use Spider-man's abilities to swing elegantly and glide through the city. The swinging mechanics don't get borrowing and the level of detail is amazing.

Finally a good Spider-Man game. Insomniac did a wonderful job on the open world of New York and story. The game is character driven and there are a lot of Marvel Universe locations to visit. I don't usually get into photo mode, but I had blast with it in this game. Also, great costumes.

I have both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, although I prefer the XBOX graphics but when it comes to exclusives for the PS4 Pro there is none better. Now the game is awesome I rarely play games like this and this game has me hooked and playing on and on. Great graphics, great story and full of fun.

I've played Spider-Man games since the snes days, and this game just captures everything about the comics. My only complaints would be that the side quests seem a bit half-baked, and the open world nature of the game makes the story feel disjointed. Side note: I think the main story is fantastic

Literally the best spiderman game i have ever played. The city is so alive, and talkative. The action in the game is so fun to play. This game has brought car chases to a new level. The comicbook story here keeps you wanting to play more and more to watch it unfold along with incredible action.

Being a huge fan of the batman Arkham series of games I was very happy because this game plays very similar. The graphics are amazing and the story line is good too. The game played very similar to batman. There is a good main story and also a lot of side missions that you can do as well.

Spider-Man is so good it deserves Game of the Year for 2018. The story is perfect and the graphics and gameplay are also perfect. I actually got the Platinum Trophy for this game after 5 days of owning it because I couldn’t stop playing it and I wanted to do everything the game had to offer.

I thought I would not like this game because I find Sony games too cinematic however I loved it! This game has a perfect blend of story and gameplay. And wow is the story great! My only gripe with the game is that the “stealth” missions are a little boring but they’re few and far between.

Graphics are top notch, Even the puddles ; ) Game play is Fast, Fluid and Fun. Story is engaging and entertaining. Side Quest are fun and great Collectibles to be had. Unlocking the different suits and skills drives you to complete all of the side objectives. A Must buy for a PS4 owner!

I was needing a new game for my PS4 since I hadnt really touched it since God Of War. This game is great. You can easily spend hours just swinging around the city and taking pics with Photo Mode. The story is pretty good. Graphics are great on a 4k tv with the PS4 Pro. Would def recommend.

Listen I’ve played plenty of games, but this one takes the cake. The story is full of twists and turns and is incredibly interesting. The detail in this game is amazing and the graphics are amazing. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Buy this game now! Very fun and definitely worth the money

What a great story. I wanted to keep playing as the story was exceptional. Some of the side quests are tedious, but overall the main story line is fantastic!!! Great boss fights against the Kingpin, Scorpion and Vulture to name a few. True to the comics!

A great game. Great visuals and easy combat. A must for every web-slinger fan. Took a few efforts to get used to the swinging. But then it became fun. But this game is eerily similar play like the Arkham series. anyway it was on sale and for the price, HIGHLY recommended.

Intuitive controls. Great progressive challenges through the game coupled with a leveling system that provides a diverse move set and gadgets. Well rounded story. You can choose to jump right to the main story mission or do some of the dozens of challenges or collectible around the map.
