I had a great time with this game. Excellent story and gameplay, but some of the side content could have been better. No other game had me taking this many screenshots. Looking forward to the next installment on PS5!

Absolutely "amazing"! Simply "spectacular"! Spider-Man has had the most representations in video games, dating back to the Atari 2600. In large part, these have almost always been, at the very least, enjoyable, mostly very good, and in a few cases, downright innovative. And that last category is where this game falls. It doesn't just continue a tradition of Spider Man leading the way in the genre of superhero games, it continues Sony's dominance in the exclusive market that Microsoft simply cannot keep up with in terms of sheer quantity AND quality. (And I say this as an owner and gamer of both systems). At this point, if you haven't purchased and played this yet, you need to find a way to rectify that. Whether you're a gamer, a superhero fan, or both, Spider Man is arguably one of the very best games of the current generation.

I’ve always loved spiderman, and this game exceeded the hype and my expectations. Simply a blast to play. As fun as it is, the story is spectacular too. I never buy season passes but plan to buy this one. Undoubtedly one of my favorite games of all time.

This game is excellent, I love it... but I am a huge Spider-Man fan. The main story line, and a few major side stories, are incredibly well scripted. The cinematics are literally as good as anything hollywood could produce. There is even a scene in the final act that brought me to tears. Gameplay wise fighting feels fluid and the swinging about from roof to roof is excellent.. other than that.. it's nothing new. A bunch of icons all over an open world map for you to repeat the same 5 tasks over and over until there are no more icons.

I highly HIGHLY recommend anyone with a PS4 to get this game. It has a really good story, good combat, and never feels boring. You will be amazed from beginning to end and then some. I have not played a game in a long time that had me craving more to do.

A surprisingly intelligent and original story combined with great acting, gorgeous graphics, tight gameplay, and incredible design all lead to what is not only the best Spider-Man game ever made, but probably the best Spider-Man experience a fan can get.

Spider-man is a game that often conveys the thrill of being a superhero. Traversal around NY is fast and fun and when everything is going right the game feels great. But it also feels dated. If you enjoyed the Arkham games, combat will feel the same - because it pretty is. Also, the open world on NY feels alive but it’s also littered with “go here” icons. Take the Arkham games, mix in Infamous, and give it a Spider-man skin and you’ll have this game. The game often is fun but it just feels like it’s 2010 all over again.

Overall, this game is an excellent example of how to create an original superhero story that makes well placed references to the comic book origins. The story contains enough liberties with the story to make it clearly original. The gameplay is excellent and the fighting is some of the most well designed in a 3rd person game ever. There are no issues with bugs and/or glitches within my experience of playing this game. My only criticism is that it sometimes, very rarely though, falls into a monotonous pattern throughout the open world play.

Probably the best superhero action game behind the Batman: Arkham Trilogy. Despite repetitive side activities, it has a great story, a lot of charisma, and great combat highlighted by the numerous suits and mods. - 4.5

Words can't express how great this game is and how much love was put into its making. The fighting, the characters, the actors, the graphics, and most of all, the swinging, are all the greatest ever. This is a Playstation 4 seller. A killer app. Enjoy.

If you remember playing Spider-Man 2 on the PS2, it was a revelation. There have been a lot of Spidey games in between the PS2 game and Spider-Man PS4, but this is the best one ever. The web swinging, the combat, and the graphics are all top notch.

This game is great like the old ps2 Spider-Man game just upgraded to next level wish it was longer and some of the challenges where easier for some player's like my younger son. Some of the them are ridiculously hard. But the game is great.

One of the best spiderman games of its time. It has every aspect you would want in an open world game. Visuals are fantastic, sound is on point. This game also makes you feel like spiderman! What more can you ask for in a super hero game.

I really enjoyed this game. All of the characters had their own stories and I feel I could relate to them (even the villains!). The gameplay was very smooth and cinematic. It was incredible swinging through New York and finding popular landmarks. I found the story very gripping at parts like how the character Miles is introduced and some of the personal storylines like with Dr Octavius. One thing I didn’t like was how short the game seemed and how some of the bosses were very scripted/ easy. Overall I think this the PS4 game of the year!

Insomniac Games has created an amazing game! Swinging through the city feels very smooth, the combat is quick and easy to understand. Perfect in every way, Spider-man Really brings out the Peter Parker we know and love, and makes us love him even more.

Swinging through the city is very fun and is unique to spider man obviously, combat is a huge part of the game and was done very well, love that there are so many different things that can be done besides just the missions. Excellent buy.

Spider-Man for PS4 is a Great Game that has all the elements to make it a very successful game. I dare to say this is actually the best spiderman game I have ever seen and its storyline might be even better than spiderman homecoming movie. This spiderman is rooted in some aspects to what we see in the comics, though there are some differences that makes it unique such as peter's hero being Dr Otto and MJ working for the daily bugle. Voice acting in this game was done very well and Peter does feel like that neighborhood friendly spider-man you would hope for. You can achieve platinum achievement by playing game on any mode (great decision by insomniac) I think the game was very well designed and the DLC content will be coming up in October, November and December. I would definitively recommend this game to anyone. this game is THE BEST GAME for PS4 in 2018!!!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve played a Spider-Man game I actually enjoyed and this one takes the cake. The story was well paced and kept my engaged with the freedom to explore their open world of Manhattan. I’ll be buying the season pass for sure.

They did it. They topped the Spider-Man 2 game. This is such a joy to play. The web-swinging mechanic is fresh and fun. The story is respectful to the history of the comics, yet is a bold take that does what many other stories haven't.

Great game! Game play and story are excellent, character appearances stray from the conventional, controls can be a little sticky but nothing that ruins the game. Overall, extremely fun to play with a ton of city swinging replay value.
