I'm a long-time Spider-man fan. The games have been hit or miss, and a lot has happened since the last main batch of games. Movies, television shows, comics. You'll find a lot of care and attention was given to the mythos of the character in this game. Web-swinging has never been better in a Spider-man game. Combat is more fluid than the Arkham system, although you can tell that's where a lot of the inspiration came from (much like Amazing 1 & 2 games). Where this game really shines is the story, gameplay, and the well-designed boss fights that aren't just health sponges or repetitive like in past games. You don't set out to 100% this game necessarily, but I found myself enjoying it so much that even the busywork missions were fun and able to be completed. I sunk 30+ hours into this, and unlike most games I think I might dump another 15-20 hours into the DLC.

LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this game. The best one yet. It really captures his moves and swinging techniques. The storyline is really good as well as the action. Free play is good as well. Game play reminds you a little bit of Batman Arkham or the new God of War.

by far the best super hero game ever. huge open world. plenty of things to do. plenty of hours of game time. great story. amazing graphics. possibly one of the greatest games of all time. if you own a ps4 you should definitely own this game as well.

A truly fantastic experience. Spider-Man games in the last decade or more have not been great. Pretty much all of them were mostly soulless products meant to cash in on Spider-Man's popularity. The last truly good Spider-Man game was probably Spider-Man 2 from, what, 2004? Insomniac finally did justice to one of the most popular superheroes in the world. This game captures the very essence of what makes Spider-Man, Peter Parker, and his various friends and foes so great. The games story is among one of the best told in any medium. The swinging mechanics and combat feel great. The game is full of your standard open world collectathon stuff, but for once it's actually not a chore to get everything. This is a great game, among the best of the year. I recommend it to anyone, even those that have otherwise disliked open world games.

I bought this for my 7 year old, and I'm quite impressed. Great graphics, great story, great fighting style and controls. Huge city with real landmarks to explore. Great voice acting too. Stan Lee makes a cameo in this like he does in the movies.

Amazing controls, graphics (PS4 Pro), and story! Looking forward to the DLC. It dethrones Spider-Man 2 as the best Spider-Man game ever! Insomniac did a great job! Definitely has Sunset Overdrive DNA. Love that game too but now I am off topic.

Not a big fan of the side missions in this game. The games main story line was great but the side missions were a little dull. The game gave a good example of what it felt like to be Peter Parker. All in all a good game.

From start to finish, and even after, this game was nonstop fun. From the web swinging to the combat to the story, it really lives up to the hype. Even the more repetitive missions are still fun by virute of the mechanics being just that good.

Spider-Man controls fantastically and captures the thrill and joy of swinging through New York. The combat is smooth and quick and the story is both well structured and a solid study of Peter Parker and the characters that surround him.

The visuals running in 4K HDR are outstanding. It's tough to not get distracted by photo mode when everything looks so great. Story, controls and voice acting are excellent. Looking forward to more missions released as DLC in the future.

I grew up loving Spiderman! Spent tons of time reading the comic books and watching the cartoon. When a previous game came out (on the PS2 or 3) I loved it! It was fun to swing from building to building and fight as the friendly neighborhood crime fighter. I can 100% say that this game met every single expectation I had! The mechanics are amazing, the views and graphics are unbelievable, and the game play is great! The story flowed extremely well, and though some of the fights felt repetitive I felt engaged the entire time. And I could play as the Scarlet Spider, which is one of several suits available as you play the game! I would highly recommend the game if you're a fan of the superhero and if not then would still recommend it from the standpoint of a game that is fun and entertaining.

I have not played a Superhero game like this since Spiderman on the PS2 back in the day. The web swinging mechanics and the combat are perfect, the story is great and the unlockables are totally a blast. Pick this up today!

What a game! The city is massive and immersive. Tons of people walking around that react to you, traffic, people playing basketball...I spent so much time just web swinging instead of using the subway, just for the fun of it. The combat system is awesome, so many moves that even when button mashing I never felt bored. Story, music, and graphics are all excellent. There's a lot to do in this game. A variety of side quests, challenges, and puzzle games open up as I progressed through the story. My only con would be sometimes the camera finds itself in an awkward position during combat.

It took quite some time, but we finally have a decent Spider-Man game. The web swinging is on point, The story is good, but is predictable and does have some pacing issues. Graphically it is one of the best looking PS4 games.

If you like Marvel and Spiderman then you are in heaven!! Great story, great gameplay, hours of fun things to do. Open world really works well with this game!! Best superhero game ever!! Go buy it now if you haven't yet!!

(Spoilers) I love this game so much! Ranging from almost no challenge and combat to EXTREME combat which make the game very hard and challenging, and everything in between. The controls are easy to memorize, no matter what move you are doing. The game made me almost cry as I got really attached to the characters (Aunt May). I loved how if you couldn’t pass a segment of the main story, you can just exit and then level up and then come back. This game is open world and has AMAZING graphics. It looks so realistic! You can run around New York and discover landmarks, backpacks, and many, many more things. I would totally recommend to anyone who likes video games like Horizon Zero Dawn and more open world games! 12/10!!!!!

This is the new standard for spiderman games. Nails swinging around New york city and makes you care about the characters in the story. Combat is very much like Batman, so if you enjoyed that, you will love this game.

This has to be the best Spider-Man game ever. It certainly is the best looking and it's incredible to swing around the city. The story is very good and there are plenty of expansions if you want to buy them.

This is a great open world game. The side quests are a bit boring but they aren't very tedious. The main story is amazing though. The web swinging feels great and the fighting is very similar to the Batman Arkham games.

This game has been amazing. Well done, game play and controls are decent, really nice storyline, and the open city format is extremely well done. Many hours have already been played and looking forward to even more.
