Mass Effect ended on such a high note last generation, it's very disappointing to see Bioware come back with a dud. The characters are flat and poorly animated. A lot of bugs and issues. At the end it feels like a spinoff made by the b team.

I have always loved this series and the new is no exception. They have fixed a lot of the issues from the third title. The multiplayer is so addictive. A Must have game.

Mass Effect is amazing, what more can I say. Everything that we have hoped is there aside from the facial animations. If your into Sci-Fi games it's worth the money.

This is having the same issue Gears of War Judgement had, which a leaving the main franchise issue. I see a Mass Effect 4 in the future due to how bad this game was at launch. They have fix most issues now, so I would give it a new review score of an 8 to 8.5. However, at launch it was a 6.5 to a 7.0 in quality.

I've been playing M.E. games since the first one and what I like about them is that I can choose what to do and customize my character the story to me is awesome

Haven't made it through the story yet because I'm still exploring so many enchanting things in Andromeda. This is a great game and you will not be disappointed.

Only have played in single player mode, but a tad addicted :) only beef so far is sometimes clues can be a bit rediculous, not saying they should be easy but after a hard fought victory it should not take twice as long to find what should be a simple clue to proceed. Other then that like I said addicted.

There are obvious issue with the game play. Mainly mechanical issues as well as wonky graphic issues with characters. How ever the story line is refreshing and really well done. I could also be a but biased as i did play mass effect 1-3 (though i hated the ending of 3) but i throughoghly enjoy this game.

On one hand, it's more Mass Effect. On the other, it doesn't remotely live up to the previous games in the series. And on top of that, it's incredibly glitchy. YMMV, of course, but I'm going to stop playing until they patch some of the bugs.

the visuals are great and the deluxe edition does offers up more items. updates have made this game a lot better and has good moments. but overall is an ok game especially at the price point now

Longtime fan of the Mass Effect series, glad to start this new game with new characters and locations. The free steelbook with pre-order was extra sweet!

Mass Effect does it again. I can't stop playing the multiplayer. It is the best game ever! I have already played 100+ hours of multiplayer. AMAZING GAME!

If you're like me, a returning vet of the original Mass Effect trilogy: lower your expectations. On a technical level, the game is buggy, and the character animations really are wooden and unbelievable when they're not outright goofy. Landscapes and things like water look "next gen", but the characters' faces look worse than they did in the first Mass Effect. The Mass Effect games were gripping for their interesting stories and personae, and the shooty bits helped punctuate the story with tactical gameplay. In Mass Effect Andromeda, the story is weak, the characters all seem like fan fiction creations, and the acting (both VA and again, the character animations) is stiffer and drier than a high school play. The Multiplayer from 3 returns largely unchanged but for the addition of "jump packs", which do add verticality to the maps. However, even this mode feels half-baked: none of the maps are terribly impressive or memorable, and they all have weird areas that seem to serve no purpose other than being death traps for noobs who haven't learned to avoid their bizarre layouts. It's still fun enough to play, especially if you have friends... but when the multiplayer is easily more fun than the single player in a Mass Effect game, you know something's wrong. I just can't believe this game took five years to produce. I guess the folks at EA's Bioware today must've just focused on the wrong things, like making the game open world (why? so I can get caught on rocks driving around huge boring planets?) instead of embracing the things that made the first two games so memorable and unique, like cinema-quality story telling and gameplay that actually complements character development.

I am a Mass Effect fan and while this game has its strong points, it is lacking in a number of places. The controls are overly clunky and the animations could really use some help. If you're a fan of the series, you will enjoy this game, but it isn't the ground breaker the early games were.

I Purchased this for my son for Christmas. Six months later he still enjoying the game play. He plays online with his cousin.

Mass Effect is back with a fresh new start, compelling characters, great story beats, and the best combat in the franchise yet! Go check it out!

The Mass Effect series is one of my favorites and Andromeda doesn't let me down. Sure there are some bugs, but big whoop. The game is fantastic!

This game is so cool....I think it's the best of the series. And Best Buy's exclusive steelbook makes the deal even better! Highly recommended!!

I have been a fan of mass effect since game one and I still am today. I have not finished Andromeda yet but it still gets my vote as a good game. It's not as good in my opinion as the original trilogy but it is a decent attempt. Could be better but it could also be a lot worse.

I've only put a handful of hours into this title in the series but you can tell that it desperately needed a few extra months of polish to truly shine. It's massive in scope and thoroughly enjoyable to explore, but the technical hiccups hold it back from reaching excellence.
