lol No. Why'd you do it EA?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't even know where to start with this game. From EA, to Bioware, to how bad it looks and plays. It's all bad. I'm not surprised EA, I'm really disappointed Bioware. Jade Empire was so good, Kotor 1 was great, ME1-2 were instant classics...

This game is awful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a good game. I have been a Mass Effect fan since the beginning. The games continued to get better as the new ones were released, but this one is just not worth any amount of effort. So much potential, such poor execution.

Great But Not Epic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ME:Andromeda is a new entry in the Mass Effect Franchise. New Galaxy, New Characters & New Story. Gameplay has improved a bit from ME3, Characters are a bit dull & boring but some like Vetra are very interesting, Story is a bit lackluster but the Adventure makes it worthwhile. So far ME:A is a great entry but hope they patch some of the minor bugs i encountered. Mass Effect Andromeda gets an 8 out of 10.

Great Game despite popular reviews
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was totally swayed by all of the mediocre reviews online of how bad this game was. I love ME and figured screw it, I'll get it anyhow. I am loving the game so far, about 30 hrs in. Multi is fun, strike teams are fun. Don't be put off by some whiny kids complaining about the UI, facial animations, or sporadic bugs. I can only speculate that some of these things will get ironed out soon. If you like ME you will enjoy this game.

MAss Effect is back
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hate is not real, there is a bug now and then but this game brings me back to that feeling you get with MAss effect 1. It feels like an RPG again but stays true to how the combat has evolved. If you are on the fence don't be if you have loved every other mass effect before this.

Great game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had played Mass Effect and loved it but never played 2 or 3. So I checked out the reviews on here to what people were saying and they were correct, it is a great game! Even if you have not stuck with the story line like I have, you'll love it.

BioWare has done it again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this game so far. BioWare and EA have created a game just like the rest of the Mass Effect series. A great mix of thinking and shooting. Perfect change over the mindless online first person shooters that are out there.

3 Stars, yes I know
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So here's why I gave Mass Effect Andromeda a 3 star rating. First off, the cinemas look great but the game play and multiplayer graphics are previous gen. Sound isn't impressive either in stereo or 5.1 (Turtle Beach 800X). The story is nothing new, it's a new arc in itself but have a lot of similarities so far (about 4 hours in). The multiplayer has micro-transactions, which I admit I'm a sucker for. There are a lot of items to get and upgrade, just slightly more than ME3. Strike Team multiplayer is interesting as you can play certain missions yourself or with a group OR have your own team perform the task which is time based. I've already hit a hiccup in the game where 23 Premium Packs ALL yielded supplies, NOT the "at least 2 Rares" as stated on the description. They weren't all like this, just the last 23 - which is a lot at $2.61 per pack. Currently the "servers" are horrid. Connections for hosting are appalling, joining a game and staying to complete the missions are a task. In my opinion, this game is decent, could be better when EA fixes their servers or patches multiplayer data. EA is not new to the gaming table, but lately - especially after Star Wars Battlefront, they leave a lot off of the table and I now distrust their products. This review is after playing the game for only 3 days. Hopefully they renew my faith and EA brings some quality to this title/series.

Good start
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good reboot of the original series but I don't think its quite there yet. Yes, the gameplay has been improved a bit, but the characters and quests could use more depth. Some quests still feel like a fetch game. I was quickly surprised how fast the game was over. The ending didn't satisfy.

Avoid. Will never patch out the boring.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved the first 3, would put the trilogy in my top 10 series ever. Mass Effect Andromeda is BORING and POORLY DESIGNED above all else. Poor animations, empty areas, pointless fetch quests, and just no respect for the time of the player. Finished it despite really not liking it. Probably done with the series now. Lost a loyal fan and customer Bioware/EA.

Not worthy...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm in my mid 40's and have gamed since Intellivision. I played the ME series on both PS and Xbox and loved them. Character stories, the plot, all pulled you in even tho the boring resource/planet scanning was boring and the combat mechanics were horrible. About 5 hours in and nothing changed... and thats not a good thing. The graphics are not current gen. The same clunky combat mechanics are in place, camera view is still over the shoulder which limits view. It really feels like Andromeda was made 10 years ago and put out last week. Takes up almost 50 gigs of space and the load times are everything you'd expect out of a '90's game, super slow and happens a lot. Def didn't expect this out of current gen. Back in the day you had to swap between multiple discs, so the load times were expected. Everytime you go somewhere theres a 30-90 second load. Even worse, the main story tries to incorporate multiplayer for Strike Mission. However, when I tried it, I found out it saves you game and launches you into multiplayer. No issue with that. Until you are finished with it and want to get back to the story. Apparently the engineer who smoothly transferred you into multiplayer, didn't write the code for going back as it puts you back to the MAIN MENU...which means you not only have to connect back to the servers for gameplay, but once again LOAD back into the game. I have one of the best headsets available, the Astro A50 Gen 3 for Xbox One. They are wasted on the sound in this game. They state 5.1 surround, but 2.1 seems more accurate. Maybe even 2 cause not much bass, lol Lots of glitches too. My fav is when I start running the character will go rigid, straight up and down, arms by his side and seems to take tiny hops to move. Or like many games of the 90's and 2000's, the area is visually clear of enemies until you pass the magic line and poof! bad guys. The story is fun and entertaining as the first 3 were. But its so slow, add in the waiting to load times and it sucks the life out of this game. I'm an avid Titanfall/2 player with deep roots in COD and BF, so seemly and fast multiplayer is something I'm familiar and good at. 15 years ago the ME style of combat was different, but not better than FPS. Why they would use this much older style I'm not sure. It turned many of my gaming friends off from buying it at all. Waited all this time and I'm actually upset how bad it is. I don't normally give such negative reviews, but I am always dead honest. If you buy it, buy it for the campaign (50 hours plus they say), but def not for multiplayer. Its about as fun and ridiculous as the Assassins Creed attempt. Thrown together to wet the appetites of multiplaying gamers, but its junk. * Side note, I originally purchased thru BB as a PS4 game, but returned for One version
