Amazing game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a fan of the original trilogy. I love this game. Multiplayer is the same as the 3rd one. The open world concept for single player is pretty fun too

A great game with a few minor flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mass Effect: Andromeda is both a sequel and a reboot of the successful Mass Effect series of video games. The action is set FAR in the future and many, many light years from the Milky Way as the Andromeda Initiative heads to the Andromeda galaxy. But, of course, things are not so rosy once they arrive. You play as a Pathfinder and your job is to assemble an elite team to make first contact with Andromeda species, establish viable colonies, and fight those who would welcome your colonists with violence. The flaws? Well, I find the basic look of the Pathfinder somewhat off-putting. Most of the Human character models are "old school" in a bad way. And the way the male Pathfinder moves is awkward at best. Watching him run around the Nexus or the Tempest and flapping his elbows like a turkey near Thanksgiving is pretty laughable. Driving around in the Nomad vehicle looking for minerals can be fun, but also tedious. There are some limited tutorials, but the game leaves a LOT (too much!) for you to figure out on your own (like how to choose your squad or the ins and outs of crafting weapons and armor). The combat is pretty fun, but multiplayer combat has a steep learning curve. All in all, this is a good game and should please sci-fi gamers and Mass Effect fans.

Overall a very fun game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outside of some of the publicized faults around the animations, I've found that the game itself is engaging and very enjoyable. Just playing through it I don't really notice too much as I explore around. Combat options are thorough and continue to open up as you progress. Plays very much like a Mass Effect game, and that's a good thing! Would recommend.

Game Has Promise, But Patches Can Only Fix So Much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I postponed my original plans to purchase Mass Effect: Andromeda when the scathing pre-release reviews came out. After the first major patch to improve the facial animations was well-received, I decided to go ahead and purchase the game. So far, I would say that the patch did a lot to improve the biggest animation issues, particular for character's faces and eyes. However, there are definitely problems with the writing and voice acting which no patch is going to fix. The gameplay itself is fun, but it is important to note that Andromeda is in many respects a different sort of game from the earlier entries in the series. This is definitely intended as a game of exploration, and I think that it does fairly well in that role. However the storytelling suffers from stilted dialogue and a less-engaging plot than the Shepard storyline had. Bottom line - Mass Effect: Andromeda is (once patched) a decent game, but nonetheless a step down from earlier titles in the series.

It's good but not excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story is pretty good and a good length. The extra stuff is really quite a nice touch too. After the game there's plenty to do. It's definitely worth the money. The graphics are solid. Where it lost a star is multiplayer, it's just not very good in the aspect of it's fun by it's own. I found myself only playing multiplayer for the loot.

Must have game!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MEA comes to you with all the old favorites and some much added features. One being the brother/sister storyline. The storyline with have you engaged for hours with so much to do. The new multiplayer option makes for a different game all together. I don't want to ruin it for anyone but Mass Effect will be your new favorite game!

Fun Gameplay story underwhelming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I think this was a fun game. The game-play and leveling system is fun and the different worlds are well done. Characters, alien development and story seem lackluster. Potential to do so much with the story arc and instead fell flat. Still a really fun game and I will definitely play again. Not as good as the trilogy.

Andomeda
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long anticipated follow up to the Mass Effect series. Game play is still good and the story line flows nicely. Would have been better in my opinion if you had an option to continue from one of the three options that were at the end of ME3. Load times can be a bit long sometimes. I would recommend to all Mass Effect fans.

epic space adventure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been looking forward to this game for a while. Haven't gotten to play as much as I'd like, but there is something about the ME universe and store that are just fun to play. Seems like there might be some things taken from the first trilogy, but with a new universe, characters and storyline this should stand on its own.

Good game but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mass Effect Andromeda is a fun game that has a lot of great things about it. They only unfortunate thing is that the facial graphics on the characters is definitely not on par with other games that have been released recently. And, it takes a good 2 to 3 hrs for the game to really open up. Other than that, great game!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mass effect andromeda' sp is long, boring, unoriginal, and poorly written. It's gameplay can be fun at times but combat mostly happens in dull open places with hardly any verity. The best thing in sp is a few of the team mates but bad writing and glitches in animation and camera placement happen far too often. For multiplayer the game can be fun playing with friends some kits and weapons are fun to use. Their arn't many maps, servers can be laggy, enemies and weapons are laughably unbalanced, and leveling up kits takes way too long. But most of these problems could be fixed in and couple of patches and the promise of free mp dlc will hopefully make returning to mp worth it. I would recommend getting this game for $20 and play it for the mp and after a few dlcs and try the sp for and couple hours if the horrible writing doesn't bother you might be worth finishing.
