The reviews were mixed at launch and I was skeptical until I played for a few hours. I'm 25 hours in and really enjoying it. Also a patch has been released fixing some of the gripes about animations and bugs.

From my personal experience, this game has a nice character creator and features good combat mechanisms as well as detailed cutscenes, but certain elements could of used more work during the developmental stages. Some examples include the recycled plot, mission glitches, limitations on game saves for multiple characters, and strange animations.
Though this game tries to expand upon the Mass Effect universe, the original Mass Effect trilogy is a better space adventure game. With that said, this game is not entirely bad and does have its moments. However, you will probably require some time getting accustomed to it.

I've seen the stuff online about some of the problems this game has, but while i admit, they are present, it did not deter me from enjoying this game. I think it does well to branch itself away from the original trilogy. I loved playing this game on my PRO and never really had any major crashes or bugs that effected my gameplay. The facial animations aren't the best no, but I think for those that can set that stuff aside, will find a game of exploration and adventure that any Mass Effect fan can enjoy.

After seeing initial reviews for ME: Andromeda, I was hesitant to pick this up. However after spending 20ish hours with it so far I'm glad I did. Andromeda is a very good follow up to the originals. The biggest adjustment is getting used to not playing as Shepard. Once you get used to Ryder's personality things start coming together. The multiplayer is as addictive as ME3 and is no longer a determining factor in your final performance. My only complaints so far are the lack of squad customability and the ability to use their powers on command (you can command them to attack but not in what way.) I'd say give it a go if you were a fan of the originals or are looking for a sci-fi action rpg.

Played the original trilogy and went into this game with hopes and was not letdown. Solid crisp gameplay, intuitive crafting system, cool compelling characters and very creative worlds. Great presentation!

The combat is more improved from the original trilogy with the addition of the jump jet. Graphics can be hit or miss at times. Might encounter some bugs here or there. Still good fun.

The overall game is great, just like every mass effect game in the series. I wish they would fix a few bugs with some of the missions however. Overall though a great game to play.

I have not finished this game yet, but so far I am finding it hard to get into the story like previous games in the series. This one has a great story idea, but even with some of the early game events, there is not much of a connection to the characters. However, my biggest complaint about this game is that it does not feel like a next gen Mass Effect. With games out there like Horizon: Zero Dawn that look absolutely amazing, this game does not compare well. The game looks good, but compared to the first time I started up Horizon and was amazed by the way the world looked, i did not have anything near that same reaction for Mass Effect.

I really liked this game. Despite some of the initial bugs which it seems all games have these days. I did not have a problem with the facial animations that everyone else did. I honestly did not ever notice anything. The first I heard about it was when I want a Let's Play and people were complaining. But this is a great mass effect game, with just enough innovation it feels new but sticks to its roots. I enjoyed this game more than ME1 and ME3. Give it a try

Mass Effect:Andromeda has been mostly entertaining. There is a lot to accomplish in the game and at times it becomes repetitive. Interesting story line though

For an older less expensive game it plays very well and holds its own against many new games. Great gift when you don't want to spend $80 on a newer title for someone.

Mass Effect has been one of my favorite video game franchises in the past decade. So naturally I preordered it. But after the first 2 hours spent just getting my character's face right, I was introduced to terrible animation and syncing in the game. This game is full of bugs and glitches but the gameplay itself is fun even though the story and technical bugs are present. Would give it one more star if they patch most of the bugs out.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is an expansive action role-playing game with a few great moments that recapture the high points of the landmark trilogy that came before it, and energetic combat and fantastic sound effects contribute to a potent sci-fi atmosphere. Without consistently strong writing or a breakout star in its cast to carry it through the long hours and empty spaces, however, disappointments like a lack of new races, no companion customization, and major performance problems and bugs take their toll.
