this game has many bugs the story seems like it wasnt fully thought out and planned right it was basically all over the place story wise and not the ending was a cliffhanger

Even thought Mass Effect: Andromeda didn't have the best launch; or was the even 100% ready to hit store sleeves, it still was a pretty decent game to play. I did enjoy the store; and the characters were great. I loved the whole relationship with other crew members of the team. There was some glitches; and problems, but I rarely play a game now a-days that doesn't have its fare share of those. This is a good game; maybe not a great game, but a really good game that any action/adventure gamers or Sci-fi lover would enjoy!

Core game is pretty good but buggy. I would have been happier waiting another 6 months for bioware to clean this game up before releasing it. Hopefully it was EA fault for pushing it out for financial reasons than Bioware releasing a untested game, especially being a mass effect fan. Hopefully they clean this up with a really needed patch update. Time will tell. If not this game really just hurts it's fans more than anything.

Good game for both story and online. Recommend if you like open world games where you have to build your way and plan your attacks.

Got this game as a gift, and he’s been playing it so much since. Perfect choice. Just docked a star because we wanted the deluxe edition but they said theyd have to order it, but online it said they had it in store.

Andromeda is an OK game that feels incredibly unpolished in its current state. Compared to the original trilogy, the writing is poor, animations stink, character models are underwhelming or straight up ugly, dialogue is cringey, voice acting is questionable, inventory management is ME1 bad, crafting is overly complex with numerous amount of materials to keep track of, terrible menus to navigate, and an overall jankiness feel to the game. What the game does well is a sense of exploration that goes beyond any of the original ME games, and the combat feels quite good, except for the fact that there is no power wheel option for yourself or squadmates. The game gives you 3 powers to use up front, if you want to use anything else you have to go into the skill menu and reassign powers. Did I mention that you can't choose squadmate skills to use in combat? You just point and click to tell them what to attack or where to move, quite disappointing. Overall, the game is ok and hopefully can be improved in the future on the technical side, but you can't fix flawed core design and story writing. It's a decent game, but you'd be better off replaying the original trilogy for a far grander experience.

So to start, I'm an avid gamer, and play all genre. This game is great for spending some time on the couch and getting involved in some story time. The combat feels slightly wonky for my taste, but the amount to do is crazy. If you do all the story and side quests and exploration, there's enough to keep you busy... however this does feel extremely repetitive. My positives for the game outweigh its negatives for sure.

If you were a fan of the original trilogy, do not get your hopes up. This game will not live up to those expectations. That said, if you can take the game for what it is, then it is a decent experience further exploring the world of ME. The game is ridden with bugs galore, and while patches have been implemented to fix many of them, you will likely encounter a good amount during your playthrough.

Like the summary says, this is a great game. There is a lot of good that it does but it is dragged down by what it does bad. Though I did not run into as many bugs/animation issues/glitches/etc that other people have run into I did have my fair share. Hopefully those are issues Bioware can fix down the line with patches. The combat, graphics, planet exploration however is amazing. Every firefight I get into is always so much fun. All in all, I very much enjoy playing this game and hope you will too!

This was my first experience with 3rd person RPG shooter games and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. There's so much for the character to explore, and so many side missions that it's almost overwhelming. I don't want to miss out on finding new things and meeting new characters, but it felt bogged down at times with so much to do. It's fun to play for a few hours at a time, although I haven't felt the rush to binge the game until it's over. It's fun to explore and slowly work my way through.

I was concerned when they switched the main character, this usually goes south on principle alone. They did a good job of character development and interactions. Also, the combat held my attention, as initially I thought it would be boring. The upgrade system is similar to past installments, so nothing special there. I don't really care about the romance factors, but there are a lot of options for different orientations. No real concerns overall. Solid game, didn't wow me though.

This game from the announcement seemed like a cash grab. And here we are, with bugs and atrocious facial animations. This stuff will hopefully get fixed. Right now game is about 3.5 stars. With the possibility of starting anew, it seems like they have really cut corners with reusing so much from past games. It seems lazy. And fetch quests and their designers can go sit on a cactus. Here's hoping they don't botch the next Dragon Age the way they did with this.

We are not "gamers." We got a ps4 to play Fallout4. That was our first gaming experience. We tried several other games after that, but none really fit the experience we were looking for, until we found this gem. Great graphics (we love space and the graphics were beautiful), great story, intuitive play - very enjoyable.

Let me start off by saying that I loved the original trilogy. Yes, that means even the 3rd one despite the mass hatred for the ending. This game brings some of what you love and some new but that is what ultimately makes it not perfect. While the combat and size of the game is great, the minimal connection to the franchise as it was and the lack of polish hurts it. Still worth a play but I'd wait until all the updates and stuff are released to get the great edition.

This game is truthfully well executed. Big name reviews criticize points that have literally nothing to with the value and playability of this game. If you are fan of Mass Effect 1-3, love the anxiety of making decisions with unclear outcomes, dealing with political unrest, prejudice and fears, this is everything and more.

Love the story. The game was buggy at the beginning, but after the last patch things have improved. A lot.

Is has a great story and gameplay but it has to many bugs and glitches.

The combat and world-building alone make this game worth a purchase. There is a wealth of content, also.

If you enjoyed the original trilogy, then you probably don't even need to read this b/c you're buying the game anyway. Story & graphics are great. The mp is mostly optional since trophies/achievements can be earned online or offline. Highly recommended!
