I purchased this washer as an upgrade to my older model Maytag washer. This machine runs efficiently and cleans my clothes well. I can understand some of the other concerns written in other reviews, but I don’t think they understand how the washer works. Initially, all of your clothes may not get wet. HOWEVER, the machine does add water about 3 to 5 minutes into the wash cycle and the clothes are completely saturated to be cleansed thoroughly. If you are used to a washing machine that completely submerges your clothes, this may be an adjustment for you. Give it time and ignore the sounds. There may be times where you think the machine has stopped, but it’s simply pausing. Give it time to do what it’s supposed to do and I promise that you won’t be disappointed. This is one of the best purchases that I have made so far and I would definitely recommend this washer to anyone who is looking to buy a new one! One more piece of advice: be sure you read the instruction manual prior to your first load so that you have a thorough understanding of how to get the best performance out of your machine.

This product is extremely loud. Sounds like gears mashing. Washer seriously vibrates. Don’t recommend

It was working good. I have chnaged the first one because the sensor stopped working in the second day. Now after 2 years, the sensor dtop working as well

I just bought a new high quality comforter that I wanted for a long time. Excited about the investment I put in the washer to get it fresh to put on my bed. When I went to get it out of the washer to dry it. I found huge brown marks and fabric melted!!! My money literally went down the drain. I had set it on bulky and warm water. Nothing else but a queen size comforter in washing machine without an agitator what the heck????

If zero stars was a possible option, that is what I would have selected. This washer worked very well for nine days. However, on the 10th day, we were not able to get it to operate. The problem appeared to be an issue with the lid safety switch, but I cannot be certain of that. We exchanged it for an LG which has worked very well.

The washer stopped working right outside of the Best Buy replacement period. Maytag came out 4 days after we called and said they need to replace the controller. It’ll take 2-5 days for the part to come. IT’S NEW! I’m getting married and have to have a washer! I purchased a new washer to have ease and comfort within my home. So unsatisfied!

If you are replacing an older agitator washer with a high efficiency model, you have to change your mindset. I replaced an LG front loader (high efficiency) that only lasted about 10 years and I wanted no more front loaders, partly because I am older and don't want to do all the bending over and also leaving the front loading door open all the time was just inconvenient when trying to access my small laundry area. What you need to know is that a top loading high efficiency machine is just a front loader standing up. I specifically chose a model without all the fancy bells and whistles and 11 cycles is enough for anyone. The Best Buy delivery team was GREAT! Even though they had to take up my washer two flights (I live in a townhouse and laundry room is on the 3rd floor) they were true professionals and they had their system down pat. They arrived within the appointed time window. After hooking up the machine he went through a brief start up of the machine and since it was started, I decided to test it with a light load of undergarments and pajamas. Do not expect your machine to fill up to the top. The machine senses how much product is in the machine and will deliver enough water, trust me. When that load was done, I put in a load of towels, put it on the bulky cycle and much more water went in. So much so that I felt badly that there weren't more towels. Same thing when I put in a king size sheet and 4 king pillow cases. I could have easily doubled the load. The next day I fit 3 king size pillows in the machine and used the deep fill. Worked perfectly! After that a flannel king size duvet from LLBean on bulky cycle, Beautiful! I read some complaints about noise. The noise is different but nothing outrageous compared with my old LG, it was not as loud but washers move in order to clean and this one is relatively quiet. I do like the top feature that you can see through. It only locks when it is about to rinse and spin, unlike my LG which would lock as soon as you started the cycle. That way, if you want to add more to the load, you can do it. When opening the lid it will pause the cycle then it will start right up again. I did quite a bit of product comparison before making this purchase between a Whirlpool Cabrio and this same sized Maytag. Turns out Maytag is part of the Whirlpool empire now. I went to Best Buy to put my hands on the appliances and since the price of this one was only a little more (it was on sale I didn't pay anywhere near the price listed now) I went home and ordered it. Very happy with the whole experience and the machine.

The machine will not stay balanced, regardless of how small of a load we put in it. Then once the load balance is adjusted, it runs through the rinse cycle over and over again. Took 3 hours to wash a small load yesterday. We have a service call from Maytag, which is actually Whirlpool, for later in the week. By far, the worse washing machine I ever bought.

I don't know why, but this machine shouldn't really be called a washing machine. The stains remain, but other clothes have their colors faded and spotted. There is SO LITTLE WATER used, that I can't help but feel that is part of the problem. But don't know for sure. I will probably replace it when I can afford to.

Washer Did not get clothes clean even small load of clothes body odor remained and a few garments had dry spots at end of wash. I Used recommended detergent and proper settings and didn't over load. Not for me, I suggest recall and redesign!! Big inconvenience, wasted energy and detergent.

Clothes don't get clean and clothes just swish back and forth. I would never buy this product again. Best Buy was very good about keeping me informed about the order. I don't hav any issues with Best Buy but I certainly don't like this washer.

The washer got broken after 2 years of use. Trying to get repair involved or to buy a new one.

Bought a Maytag Bravos washing machine model MVWX655DW1 that used to leave weird spots on the clothes but since it doesnt work now I guess that issue is fixed. Called Maytag and they were of no help with getting it repaired. I dont recommend buying any product with a Maytag decal on it. Total waste of money.

Water level is to low. Totally a poor efficiency washer

I loved this and then I did cottons and everything wrinkles way too much. My husband puts most everything in the dryer but I do not. Means ironing way too much.

Worked well until the transmission went out and the cost to repair it is at least 60% of what it cost me brand new.

Low or no water in basin. Clothes not cleaned. Item returned.

Louder than my old washer. I don't think it uses enough water. Takes a long time to complete wash

This product is ok but it takes for ever for the washing cyclings, we are considering returning it.
