I bought this washer in Nov 2017. In Dec, it was replaced with a new one since the old one was shaking too hard. Although it was not much better, I figure just let it be... boy was I wrong! After a few month, I happen to walk into the bathroom behind the washer during spin cycle. I found the light fixtures on the opposite wall from the wall the washer back against were shaking. Really? If I found out earlier, I would return this machine. Now it's been only 1.5 years, it is starting to make a very loud squeaking noise thought the entire spin cycle. Unfortunately, now a days, the appliances are made to be replaced, not to last...what a shame. I thought Maytag is a reliable brand...

We just got this and since it replaced A 12 year old topload, I figure it would be more efficient. When the wash was completed, the clothes are still very wet. I need to dry them longer than i did with the old washer. This was from using the power wash setting. Other than that the washer is OK. we will let time decide.

Was worried at first because I'm not used to the new style with no center "post" and it uses less water than the older ones. But now that we've used it several times, I see it does a great job and is better for the environment!

Have had for almost 5 years now. Still works like new.

I previously had a Maytag washer I loved…but it was very old and eventually broke. I decided to go with another Maytag but to my own fault did not do enough research and ended up with this piece of junk! My clothes do not come out clean…even on the heaviest soil setting…even half full! I simply cannot load this washer more than 1/4 full and have to line the sides of the washer with the clothes (not clothes directly in the middle)….I’ve learned this is the best way to get them somewhat clean. It a big pain and I am CONSTANTLY doing laundry since I can’t fill even half full. The black clothes always come out with grey residue. The tide pods DONT dissolved. And last but certainly not least…it makes the clothes so wrinkly when they come out! I’ve never had a washer that makes the clothes this wrinkled!! Overall….i hate this washer and can’t wait until it breaks so I have a reason to buy a new one

Not sure why people say this machine is loud, Mine sounds normal and am very happy with the purchase

This washer does an excellent job on cleaning clothes. It is not too high so it is easy to removed clothes. Simple knobs for operation. However it doesn't buzz when it is done. Love the clear glass top.

We bought this Maytag washer four years ago, along with the dryer. A few days ago, the washer stopped draining. We have a ten-year limited warranty, but it only covers a few items. We now have to wait until next month to see if one of the items covered is what's broken or if we will have to pay out of pocket to have it fixed. It is disappointing that the name Maytag makes you think of quality and appliances that last forever, but this only lasted four years.

I did 6 loads of laundry. 3 times it got about halfway though then stopped and the indicator light went back to "wash" status. It just hung up there for more than a half hour. According to the manual if that happens you have to cancel and then run run a rinse/spin cycle. The manual also stated that too much detergent could be the issue. I sued 2 Kirkland laundry pods. 1 pod is good for a medium of laundry. I used 2 as they were all large loads (but not overfilled). Returned and bought an LG dryer instead.

Doesn't put enough water to cover clothes. Some are almost dry through entire washing. Handwash cycle didn't even cover bottom of tub. Having to rinse and spin three times to get the water out of the clothes. Three years of this and I'm going to use this washer for target practice on my farm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Total Rip-off!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this washer installed on 5/1/19 and have nothing good to say about it. I realize water conservation is a necessary act, but the levels of water barely clean the smallest of loads. Arranging the items around the agitator is tedious, and the machine is still thrown out of balance on occasion. The best part is when the machine decided to start a load, add the water, then get stuck in sensing mode. So not only did it not work, but I’m left with a load of dirty, wettish clothes and a tub of water. I called Geek Squad who informed me that Maytag will not allow anyone else to service their appliances for the first year (begging the question, does the three-year Geek Squad protection start after a year, or are they ripping off consumers?). Contacting Maytag customer service for repairs is a nightmare. I have been calling for a week. Three times they have scheduled a repair service that is FOUR HOURS AWAY and who calls me and states they do not nor have they ever serviced my area. When I called to explain I needed someone closer, the rep told me she was just scheduling what the computer presented to her. Apparently common sense and geographical knowledge are not requirements for a job with Maytag. I am cutting my loses and have ordered another washing machine. I will never do any kind of business with Maytag again. Unacceptable.

I purchase this washer and started having issues within the first year I had it. It would shake like it was hitting something. It was serviced and still had issues. Now after the warranty ended it takes 2 hours to wash and sometimes stays on sensing. I had to buy a new one because it is running up my light. DO NOT RECOMMEND MAYTAG.

Love all the options for settings, and it washes great with the impeller in the bottom (instead of a tall agitator), when it works. It has had to be repaired multiple times, which is disappointing.

Lasted about 5 years, which is supposedly the normal life these days according to our repair guy. Noticed that our clothes weren't getting clean any more, just wet. Watched through the glass top and noticed that nothing was moving when it was supposed to be agitating. Turns out the splines stripped out where the wash plate was attached, so nothing was moving. Labor cost to repair was more than we paid for the unit. Time to replace

I've read reviews about noise. They seemed older. Surely Maytag addressed this. Nope. Very loud and noisy. And I can't hear well. We'll give it a week. May have to return.

Worse machine ever. Will NEVER buy another Maytag. Got this machine in 2019 after having to replace my Whirlpool that I had for 15+ years. First thing that went was fabric softener dispenser, it stopped working after about 2 years. Now one of the shocks is shot because of clothes are the slightest off balance it bangs so loud it sounds like it will break apart. So now besides having to manually go downstairs and add the softener I have to babysit it in case it’s off balance. Stop machine, redistribute clothes and start machine again. It also at times will just random cycle and I have to reset the whole machine. Service SUCKS. I’m not paying 1/2 of what I paid to have a 4 year old machine repaired. Maytag you SUCK. NEVER AGAIN. What happened to quality?

My washing machine quit after 20 years. This one works terrific. The kids like to watch the clothes through the lid!

first one died within 30 days. BB customer service rep referred all to manufacturer warranty and was not interested in issuing replacement. Maytag rep sent local service plumber who never saw that error code before, 'ghost code' per Maytag, and fyi a new main board costs almost as much as a new washer. plumber ordered replacement main board and installed a week later. washer simply too skimpy on water on regular settings. I have photos of trousers with 10x10 cm completely dry areas AFTER wash, the trousers were wet only in rinse cycle. try to find a regular washer with a central agitator without some newfangled computer board since I hear all these 'he' machines are junk. I will try the 'deep water' setting to simulate an old style washer since it has been 6 months and I simply get too many washes that are just not right.

Lasted about 2 years got to the 1 year mark had to have repaired then 6 months later the 3 months after that now 3 weeks after the last. The repairman tild me to buy a new washer these are junk! The transmission which isnt covered after a year is bad and causing all the issues
