Awesomeness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far we have done several washes trying to catch up on laundry being without a washer and dryer of our own recently and this Maytag is working great, not going to lie I kind of hate how expensive items like this are these days and then they nickel and dime you for every little thing at the end of the sale like the hoses and such. Aside from that more specifically this washer definitely is large capacity and the drum not having an agitator that takes up half the drum is nice and definitely still washes very well for not having that. The technology behind the smaller fins at the bottom and being more water efficient is great. The dials and options for the wash cycles is perfect I didn’t want one of those super expensive and fancy machines it’s very unnecessary in my honest opinion. The glass top is nice though I’m afraid I’ll somehobreak it but it seems strong and cool to see how it washes.

good washer--but makes different noises
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer washes my clothes well but as it goes through its cycles, it makes different noises than my prior washer. Buyers should be advised of this right up front as they may wonder if something is wrong with washer when it is first used.

The perfect washer for me!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Maytag has the same positives as side loading washer even though it is a top loader. There is no spindle to beat clothing, towels, and sheets to death as there is in regular top loading washer. It also uses less than half the water that is needed in a top loader as well. The most important thing, however, is that my washable come out of the machine sparkling clean!

Large capacity washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good machine. Gave in to the unit without center agitator. Now we have a noisy machine that sounds like a train wreck coming from the laundry room. Will see if we can get used to the noise. Will be contacting Maytag soon.

Great washer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Daughter bought one as did her mother-in-law and they both liked it. After research and information from Best Buy sales staff we decided this was the best washer for us. The noise that reviewers talked about is not a problem. Our main concern was no agitator but also is not a problem as our clothes are just as clean as with our old much smaller Maytag.

Simple and Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After getting 2 high tech type washing machines, and having problems with both, we wanted a more simple and reliable washer. So far this washer has been create - top loader which seems larger than our previous front loader, it's got simple knobs and less of the electronic keypads, is nice and quiet and cleans great.

Best appliance purchase in years
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased to replace a front loader. Was hesitant at first due to the simplicity of the unit. So glad I chose this one!!! Removed old stains when I would pretreat and wash small loads. Clothes smell clean and the spin removes most water, so they require less dry time. Also, the tub on this is HUGE! No need for a trip to the laundromat to wash comforters anymore!

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this washer for over a year. First one with no agitator, which I wanted so I could fit queen size comforters, and it does well. Otherwise, it's quiet and seems to work well. My only complaint is that I feel like the spin cycle should get more water out. I had a basic washer before, with an agitator, that made the clothes feel much less damp at the end of the cycle. I don't feel like the lack of agitator should make it spin less. I've even rerun the spin cycle and they still are more damp than they would be from my old machine.

Great wash machine!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great wash machine without costing you an arm & a leg! Love that there is no agitator in the middle. It also has a glass door so u can see where the laundry cycle is at & how it actually washes without the agitator. Safety feature will let u add clothes while the tub is filling with water but then the door locks (when the cycle begins) & doesnt unlock until it's done. We usually use the 2nd rinse option - since it doesnt use sudsy soap you can put too much in very easily & then u have soap on your clothes when the load is done.

Great machine for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After my Whirlpool washer died after 3 years, I had to find a new washing machine. This Maytag does everything I need and has a great price tag. It washes all my clothes better than my old traditional top loader. It does my laundry in just about an hour (or less). Everything comes out smelling very clean. Noise has not been an issue. It does make some noises but nothing to complain about.

Tears clothing up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on sale from another vendor because of the sale price, took it back the next day. I followed the directions to a "T" and yet my socks and towels were getting the strings pulled at. You could see the runs in the towels. We had a little pile of strings when we folded the load after drying. You can tell it is hard on clothes just by watching it! We even tried the deep water setting to try and eliminate the problem. I really did want to like this washer. People often recommend Speed Queens. I went with a front loader from Frigidaire replacing my old frigidaire. Some people hate front loaders, but I have always had success with them. Some may say it's because our clothes and towels are in fact old that this Maytag tore them up. Well, I would rather have my fabrics last a few more months. I really felt like I had to walk on eggshells with this unit and was going to have to train everyone how to use it (Or walk on eggshells). If you buy this unit and it does the same things, return it immediately, don't wait. I have heard of stories of some vendors telling customers they are stuck with it only after having it a couple of days! P.S. The pic below only represents the threads pulled completely out of the fabric, the other items such as towels and socks have strings hanging out of them. Oh, and my front loader washes far better than this Maytag unit.

A little disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was super excited about this purchase however after using it now for a little over a month I understand why people are getting frustrated. I love that it had a large tub (agitator free) that could hold my comforters and I also loved that it had a see thru lid so I could watch the washing action. Having the see thru lid helped me to understand why my clothes wasn't getting cleaned. I loaded it properly making sure that the wash plate wasn't covered and I properly put the right amount of detergent in the somewhat hidden dispenser and selected the proper wash. Once it started I noticed very little water was getting on the clothes and all of the detergent was being dispensed to the section of the first fill. I have learned to wash it in bulky wash that is the only way that it will get enough water. I wish they would have a detachable agitator this may help clean the clothes better but give the consumer an option to add or remove depending on what they are washing.

Good washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer is nice. It seems to do a very good job on the clothes. Doesn't use a lot of water. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is kind of noisy when it is locking the lid. Makes a rather loud sound.

Great washer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Selected a smaller washer and now I can reach in without tippy toeing. Still washes a large amount of clothes. Easy to use dial selection and energy efficient. Love that I can choose to rinse and spin.

good washing machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is quite a good washing machine. It has excellent capacity and clothes come out clean. A bit loud but that's not a big problem since it's in the laundry room and can just shut the door.

Top loader something new to my family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer is very efficient however it takes time to get use to the cycles. Make sure you put detergent first and then laundry and chose the right cycle. Make sure you don't overload. Good size for a small space.

Gave laundry room an updated look
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washing machine is quieter than the last one we had. I like the see thru window on the lid. Easy to operate. Huge capacity for large loads. Only downfall is that I wish it had a delicate cycle.

Great Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performance washer, the reviews really sell it short. In my opinion many of the users are not using it adequately or just really picky. For the price it's good. The noise level is just as any other washing machine only a different sound, if you want something darn near noiseless spend more money, but in my opinion this is a good deal

Decent wash, but LOUD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the drum. It holds as much as my old LG, but instead of me having to stand on tip toe to reach the bottom, this barrel is wider and shorter. The powerwash cycle is my favorite, but if I'm washing something especially dirty, I use the deep water wash cycle. I love that with this one I can just turn the knobs where I want and the kids can do their own clothes just by pressing start, vs them never putting it on the right setting with a full electric panel. STOP WASHING ON HOT KIDS! My old con is that this machine is LOUD. We have one of those stupid kitchen laundry rooms (screw whomever thought those up), so it's a bit frustrating. Wouldn't take my LG back over it though.
