We decided to go with this unit after our dryer died and decided to buy a new washer/dryer set. We are very pleased with our choice. The salesperson at the store was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable regarding all of the units on the floor and the pros and cons of each.

We love how, for the most part, you can leave all the settings the same. It auto-detects the amount of water needed. You basically fill with clothes, fill with detergent, close the lid and hit start. It is pretty quiet too. Just a good deal and a nice dryer to match.

Cannot use liquid detergent

After a month of dealing with Maytag support (they have warned us against using liquid detergent without the insert) we have received two drawers without inserts. As long as you use powder or tide pods, this machine does well. But if you want to use liquid detergent, prepare for many unproductive hours on hold waiting for Maytag support.

Its glass top is nice for seeing if something goes wrong or just making sure that you put everything in. A good machine for a good price.
