Not a Maytag!

My former machine died, and I had tenants sharing my house, and with the pandemic and everything, I did only a brief survey of washers, but came from a family of Maytag buyers, so thought I couldn't go wrong. Big mistake!! This is made by Whirlpool, whose reputation has greatly declined. Upon further research I found out that Mr. Maytag was forced into an untenable situation, and had to take the buyout from Whirlpool, who then fired all the lifelong Maytag employees, and moved what was left of the company to their own factory. It's all online, but I hadn't read it until several months after the purchase. This knock-off is the nosiest, most slap-dack design of any machine I've ever encountered. Buyer beware!

Quality Washer

It’s quiet and efficient. Clothes come out clean and the spin gets almost all of the moisture out of the clothes making the dryer more efficient also.

It appears to use very little water. Recommend buying the optional stand as the door is very low.

Delivery guys forgot to take shipping bolts out of drum. Best Buy had to replace washer, which they did the next day. Always buy extended warranty.
