Purchased this matching set washer & gas dryer 11/2019 and not even half a year later the transmission and they had to replace a total of 8 parts on it. Then 8/23 it started making a knocking noise, giving a LF error code and then shutting off. Technician came out and he was awesome, and the only good thing about this whaswing machine was the Geek Squad tech that came out. It needs the main control board, the transmission again, and the inlet valves and that pushed it over the limit of being repairable. So now I get to have fun again trying to find a "good replacement" washing machine that will hopefully last longer than 2 years. Not surprised at all they dont make this one anymore.

1 year and 7 months into ownership and the machine is leaking while if fills. Water is somehow running onto a cross bar and then leaks out of the back left (while you look at the front of it) corner. Slow constant leak got under our plank flooring and required 9 hours of floor removal/reinstallation. Call Maytag hoping they will stand by their $700 washer even though it was 7 months out of warranty....and of course they won't. As I told them, at the price their appliances cost and if you are having issues within 2 years of purchase they should still stand behind their product. They didn't care & their poor customer service was the cherry on top to prompt this review!

This thing will SHRED your sheets. My sheets all get rips and holes. Bras get stuck in the seam at the bottom. The thing CONSTANTLY is off balance when washing heavier loads like bedding and towels. Doesn’t get items very clean at all. Takes forever to do a load of laundry unless you constantly wash on rapid. Worse washer I have ever owned. We had a Maytag commercial series front load set for 12 years. I regret getting rid of it after purchasing this.

Although I did not buy this at Best Buy, this machine sucks. Machines stains clothes with oil. Had maytag come and check it out and they couldnt find a problem with it. I tried using affresh to clean the machine but still stains clothes. Also tried just bleach, baking soda, white vinegar. Although it helped some, machine continues to stain clothes. My fault was that I should have returned it to the store I bought it, but decided to keep it. Never again will I buy a maytag. This machine will be trashed and have to go buy a new washer. Machine started staining clothes right away. It is only a little over 1 year old. Live and learn.

Purchased 5 weeks ago and the first, of which I am sure are going to be many, repairman is coming tomorrow. The agitator has trapped a nightgown underneath it and can only be recovered by removing the agitator head requiring a repairman. Upon research, I found that other owners have complained of the same problem with even larger items. I have put up with loud noise, clothes that came out of the washer barely wet and still dirty and sheets and clothing twisted into knots. I would have been better off putting my money into a replacement pump for my 15 year old washer instead of wasting it on this Maytag.

I’ve owned this washer since March of 2019 I’ve had to have the control module , the brain, replaced twice and I am getting ready to make an appointment to have it replaced a third time. If you’re going to buy a Maytag appliance, get the extended warranty you’ll need it.

I bought this model one year ago. It failed this weekend. My overall experience with this product is horrible. Many problems: first, automatic loading sensor does not give a right amount of water; second, water dispensing is extremely slow, taking forever to fill up the tank; third, the agitator does not work effective to rotate and mix the clothes, those on top will remain on top pretty much the entire washing cycle. Worstly, the inlet water valve started leaking a few monthes ago and this weekend, it failed totally.

Purchased this washer May 2017. Just 4 days past the 1 year warranty and it has stopped working. NO POWER. Panel displayed error codes that wouldn't go away. Had to unplug and now does not power on. Tried looking up codes online and everything points to the electronic control panel. UNBELIEVABLE!

Yikes! Not sure what I'm doing wrong but this washing machine leaves soap scum on my dark clothes. I've re-washed them with no soap and have also tried running them through the rinse cycle alone and still my black clothes are a mess. I'm using the recommended amount of liquid soap and HE soap to begin with but I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem.

Unfortunately I purchased this set just under 4 years ago and the washer has already been replaced. I replaced some parts on it myself within the first 2 years and then when the door sensor went, it was a $400 part that I wasn’t willing to dump into this washer. They don’t last more than 3-4 years. Maybe my expectations are too high but I was disappointed and frustrated by year 2 of owning this.

Horrible machine. I've had it about 5 months and I'm headed to the laundromat. It doesn't wash; it can't--it doesn't use enough water to wash. Forget getting a proper rinse--just scratch and scratch because you'll get a rash. The agitator is only agitating me because it doesn't even move the clothes around AT ALL. This is a joke. If this machine ever worked well (all those great reviews) then Maytag has changed something and it is no longer true. It is junk! Junk.

This junk pile has broken - first the water fill mec, THEN the gearbox chewed itself to death (no grease ac to the repairmen) and NOW its electronics have gone out so it is locked on a random cycle and wont start, stop or reset (even with power being cut for a day...) DO NOT BUY this unless you love to support your local repair companies because I could have bought this thing TWICE and then some with wasted money poured into it. NEVER gettinganother maytag

Crappiest washer ever made. The lid has broken 4 times since purchased. Pretty much every 6 momths it seems. We purchas 5 yr warranty and they canceled it without notice and refuse to service our washer. I calnceall my accts with them. Never again!

4 years in and we get it repaired annually. Internal components fail on a routine basis and the design is awful. We had to put the feet on risers because the drum scrapes the floor. Oh and by the way, the washer is also not user friendly.

1st machine caught sheet and ruined it on about the 7th load the machine handled. Called and had it replaced. Second machine did the same thing within 2 weeks of replacement. Can’t afford to constantly replace bedding! Returning it. I see a similar review. Believe it! Wish I had read them all!

First Maytag. Definitely last. 15 months in and full drain pump failure. $500 fix. Out of warranty because they only cover you against the drum dissolving. Maytag customer service so bad they're funny - booked me their outsourced fixers who just failed to show...

Best brand for washer and dryer. Never gives up. My family have been buying Maytag for generations.
