The washer seems to work well after a few weeks. the controls are easy to use and there are good wash cycle options. First time having a front loader. The only issue is the height when loading. It is a little low and uncomfortable to get to. So far so good.

disappointed that the spin cycle not strong enough, clothes need extra time in dryer

12/7/21 purchased a washer and dryer at Pacific Sales which is a division of Best Buy. I was offered a service contract from Geek Squad which is also part of Best Buy which I purchased. In May 2023 I noticed a rattle during the spin cycle of the washer. While the machine was operating fine at that time, I contacted Best Buy to have service to avoid further damage and was advised the service contract was through AIG. Had I known the agreement was though AIG I would not have purchased as I have 40 years experience in the financial industry and am aware of AIG history. AIG sent someone out from Antech Appliance which has a 1.5 star rating on Yelp with the majority of the ratings based on their work for warranty companies and finding reasons not to cover claims. The service spent about 10 minutes looking at the machine and told me they would need to remove tub which would take 2 people so they would have to come back. A day or so later I received an email stating the claim was to be denied as "they stated they found the unit not working due to a foreign object(coin/pin rattling) between the tubs causing a noise issue and this is not considered normal wear and tear." Note that per the email they are making the assumption that the rattle is caused by a foreign object but they do not know what it is and cannot confirm it is in fact a foreign object. I filed a complaint with BBB but Best Buy stated they are standing behind AIG finding. I had requested a refund of the premium as the warranty was of no value and AIG denied the claim based on assumptions. Subsequently the machine has started to show Error Code when I run the clean cycle. Best Buy responded to the BBB that they had provided a pro rata refund and cancelled the contract. This was done at my request as my right and not in satisfaction of my claim. Best Buy used to stand behind their products but obviously no more. Do not buy from Best Buy but, if you do, do not purchase a service contract. Do not buy this one as it is mal functioning in under 2 years.

I am unhappy with the lack of service. I received this washing machine 4 weeks a go It worked well for a few washings then it wouldnt spin dry the clothes. I called and they scheduled an appointment for for one week. The repairman showed up and said the motor was bad and ordered a replacement scheduled in one week Thats more than two weeks without use of the machine. The new motor was installed and the machine worked for one washing then the same thing happened, wouldn't spin dry. I then called and requested the machine be replaced. The machine showed up but the man said he couldn't replace it because of a Faucett leak he said he would call and find out if he could replace it. He went to his truck and just drove off with no further contact. I spent two hours trying to contact some one with no luck. I called the dealer I purchased the machine fromand he got me finally in contact with your scheduling Dept. I disconnected the hoses and requested the recont the installer and have him return. They said he was out of the area and couldnt come back. I recivedm an Email this morning asking that I call in for a new appointment The earliest appointment was Nov 25th. This will be over three weeks without use of a washing machine. That is really unacceptable. I hope the Saturdays appointment will solve the problem. But you really should check your service policy

This washer has a really good sized tub and is easy to use. It works pretty quietly and washes well.

Works as advertised. Nice looking and quiet. Washables come out clean.

The washer is very good and I love having a dial instead of more digital computer features to choose the type of load settings. The only issue is we found with having a pedestal, there is some squeaking during the spin cycle.

Had it installed and within hours was using it so much more quiter and more efficant

Purchased Maytag 4.8 Cu. Ft. washer to replace 18 year old Maytag front load machine. Old washer required service that would cost over $500 to repair, so we purchased another Maytag. Our only concern with the new washer is that it doesn't seem to clear the dispenser tray as thoroughly as our previous machine.

i wish the notification sounds could be louder. 1. very sensitive touch pad. very sensitive. 2. we've had this unit for about 3 months, it's had 2 glitches: one - it was stuck on 45 minutes and the drum was just spinning (power cycled the unit and it worked like usual) two - it will every so often sense the load and adjust the time lower than you would probably like.

This washing machine is the best! It is quiet, easy to use, and does a fabulous job. I am so happy with my selection.

This machine is very quiet, cycles run fast and very simple to use without allot of electronics. My only complaint is the delivery and instal. The third party delivery and instal services used by Best Buy didn’t seem to care. It took three visits to get it installed. The call waits are so long we actually had to go to the store to arrange the logistics.

I love my new maytag washer its very easy to use and is very quite.

I had an old set of washer and dryer in my old home and just got this one, and all the options it has are awesome! I’m able to keep my graphic shirts looking good, and my shirts in general looking good. It is super quiet too, sometime I could hardly tell it was running! Amazing product, couldn’t be happier! Great customer service with the install guys sent out by Best Buy too.

We bought this washer for multiple reasons including it's capacity and good reviews as well as being american made. Now, it is 5 months past the one year warranty and it is falling apart. The pump is making terrible noises which based on our research means it is getting ready to fail. We have also had issues with it shutting off when it was running. To be clear, we are a 2 person household so this washer is not heavily used. This is the first maytag appliance we have purchased and this is just not the quality I expected. The last washer we had was a floor model samsung that lasted over 10 years with no problems at all. Just warning people not to be taken in by good reviews from consumer sites.

A very good washer, quiet and efficient. It does what it’s supposed to do.
