Absolute GARBAGE! Don't be fooled by the name, these are cheap junk made by Whirlpool with a Maytag label. Constantly malfunctions, won't properly drain and spin bulky items. Towels come out soaking wet and have to be wrung out by hand. Wash cycles are either 25 minutes or over one hour. Please DO NOT BUY THESE!

I was under the assumption that Maytag was going to be a perfect machine. I received the machine in April. Installers had to come back to the house, a week later to install the correct pedestals. Right away, I noticed that a little water was dripping out from the door. I didn't think much of it, since my last machine dripped from day one. The pedestals were installed and the washer leaked more each day. Within the next couple weeks, after running a wash cycle, there would be a large puddle on the floor and even some water was in the pedestals where I was trying to store beach towels. I called Best Buy to request a service call. The representative told me that these machines are known to have issues and will arrange for a machine replacement. The replacement arrived at my house damaged. The delivery men mentioned that they take back approx 5 of these units a week due to various issues. I ended up refusing the replacement machine and requested that the delivery men return my current machine which is leaking. Now I have to go find another washer. I thought I was buying the best machine on the market. Now I have no idea what to purchase.

Maytag Front Load 66301 Lets see now, I have just returned from the laundromat as I have a Maytag front load 66301 that I got 9 loads washed before it broke down. Wow. Waited a week for a repairman. Naturally they have to order the part. Naturally it can take up to 3 weeks for the part due to covid (what would they do without covid to blame for everything). Gee, want to know what I think of Maytag ? Interested in knowing what part broke ? Let me share, the plastic door latch closes into another plastic latch on the body of the machine, also plastic, that then locks and allows the machine to run. Hmm, wonder why it broke after a whole 9 loads? I couldn't begin to dream up the stupidity of that engineering feat. Now there will be a reply from Maytag saying they are sorry I am experiencing this problem but not sorry enough to replace the plastic part with a metal one . What a disaster. What do I think of my Maytag 66301? Um-hum..... wonder if I offered to donate a few dollars for appropriate materials , yes I would be more than happy to.

I can't recommend the machine. Had about 2 years and will be taking it apart for the 2nd time with what appears to likely be a clogged drain. There are YouTube videos about this issue. Big question to me... If you are going to make a stackable washer/dryer and there is going to be a drain filter and access underneath the machine, make it accessible from the front! Now I have to find a way to take the dryer off the top, and then move this out enough to tilt it...and oh yea, it is full of water....horrible design. Seems to do ok when it is working....

Purchased washer in mid-March and control panel stopped working after six weeks! It will take Maytag almost a week to send a service provider to fix it. Very disappointed in the washer and Maytag. Every other washer I had lasted about 10 years. This lasted 6 weeks.

Love Maytag! My mother used Maytag, now it is the only brand washer and dryer I would consider buying!

It does it’s job and does it well! The tub is bigger than we thought-that’s another positive.

The unfortunate reality of todays consumer driven society has made it acceptable for your homes major appliances to be replaced before they reach 10 years old. For the most part the appliances we purchase today are not engineered, designed, built, or manufactured with quality materials, pride, integrity, or longevity in mind. Appliance manufacturers give you the "feel good" with aesthetic's a once quality name they Purchased like MAYTAG, WHIRLPOOL, or GE. Potentially A red, white, and blue sticker that may lead few to believe some American pride had a part in this appliance. And my personal favorite a .7% increased energy efficiency rating. The Truth is the composition of new appliances are 10x more detrimental to our environment than the old appliances ever were and now we replace them 3x more often. I service appliances for a living and have for a long time. to be honest I settled for connivence of pickup so I didn't have to wait for a quality appliance to be delivered. results as expected.

I bought this washer in summer 2018, because my 17 years maytag broke. In January, I had to call Service because the spinning feature didn’t work. Although they changed the board the washer is presenting the same problem. I will have to call BB service again. Too bad for an expensive product. Disappointed....

I had this washer for 3 years and right before the warranty was going to end I started having multiple issues. It started making a loud noise every time we would run it. Geek squad came out 4-5 times to fix the issue and the problem still continued. Geek squad did the exchange, and I will stay awy from Maytag front load.

Machine did not last 5 years. The rubber seal just broke a piece off and now the water just leaks out. Over the years of having it, we have constant SD errors. Clothes do not smell clean after wash. The washer itself smells horrible at times, I suspect there’s an issue with water sitting in there somewhere. Really mad I have to buy a new washer already after 5 years

Worst washing machine I’ve ever had in my life! This washer replaced an old top load GE that we wish we still had, Although this looks a lot better it fails to do it’s job so often that it’s Hindering our lives. Always different Errors popping up, truly a constant problem in our lives. Repair people take months to come and are basically useless. Maytag support is Horrible! However I cannot speak for geek squad

Purchased this washer new less than 5 years ago. It’s had little issues starting around two years old and been fighting to get it to work properly for the last year. The electronics in this are low quality and not built to last . It way overpriced for the low quality and lack of longevity. I’d avoid this brand.

This has been a great washer however you have to take it apart to get to the drain pump filter. This means you have to remove the top, the control panel, the door seal, and the front panel with the door attached to get to the filter.

Like all the other reviews, error codes are popping up left and right. It won’t drain at all now. Of course they would only offer a 3 year geek squad warranty and then it breaks a few months after that.
